What is the average yearly % increase for a WDW resort room?

What is the average yearly % increase for a WDW resort room? (Not just DVS resorts)

Cannot recall back more than about 5 years but in the last five years they have been going up at a 5 to 10% rate annually--in any given year some seasons have gone up more than others, some resorts also, and even some types of rooms in the resort have gone up higher than others. Also, two years ago Disney accomplished an across the board rate increase for October by just changing it from value to regular rate season.

Drusba seems to have a good idea on the %. I have been told by a number of people including my guide that Disney resorts have averaged an 8% increase per year over the past decade. A few years ago the moderates actually jumped 12% in one year. That was when we started looking into DVC.

My 1st trip was in 1979 a std room at the Poly during regular season, was $55, now it is $324. That works out to about 8.84 % increase each year.
