What is that SMELL coming from Epcot's character spot??

Has anyone else ever noticed that smell that is inside the Epcot character spot? You can also smell it big time when walking through the building over to soaring.

On past trips, It smelled like vomit to me, thinking it was a 1 time thing. However, on our last trip, on multiple days, the smell is still there & stronger than ever! I don't know how anyone can stand being in that building where the character spot it! Walking through the covered area outside on the way to test track I have to hold my breath!

Anyone else notice what I'm talking about? Or, am I just the weirdo who notices gross stinky smells!

I always catch a whiff of something outside of one of the MouseGears entrances. Maybe it's near the character spot.

I agree, it stinks. Mousegears smells totally musty and gross to my admittedly sensitive nose. I also notice some of that smell in Character Spot though not as bad as it is in Mousegears.

I've always noticed the smell in MouseGear. Smells a little like sewage. I've noticed it for years...

Yeah, I've noticed it too A couple of years back. It always smells like puke. I thought it was a one time thing too, weird!!

Probably a tree or flower blooming... some of them can smell pretty nasty. Do you always travel same time of year? Can't say that I've noticed it, and I have a hypersensitive nose! Will try to remember to smell for it in September!

That's my best guess as well. I walked by some pretty nasty smelling trees last week.

Has anyone tried walking up to the local blooming foliage and sniffing? Cause that's what this sounds like to me. Not all of nature smells pretty, lol

We always used to say MouseGear smells. I've never been in the Character Spot but I've seen other posts on here with people mentioning the bad smell.

I never go into Mouse Gears so I've never smelled it, but there have been several threads on that subject over the years. I recall reading that there's a sewer nearby or something like that.

I smell it every visit no matter what time of year it is in both places. Definitely worse in the Summer though with the added humidity.
