What is Thanksgiving week?

This may be a stuipid question, but what is considered Thanksgiving week? Is it the entire week preceeding the holiday, or is it from the holiday forward. I am arriviving the Sunday (20th) before Thanksgiving and am hoping to have a few "not so packed" days.

We have gone in the past the day after Thanksgiving, the crowds were light. My guess is everybody does the shopping thing, or some other more traditional day after Thanksgiving activity. Maybe you'll get lucky and everybody will be home cooking turkeys.

Was just informed we would go on Thanksgiving.

We are also there at the same time, we get there Saturday and staying till the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I am like you, hoping for a few not too "crowded" days before the Holiday.

I believe that Thanksgiving week is considered the week that includes the holiday, like November 20th thru November 26th. This is the week that kids would be out of school also. It is supposed to be more packed during this week because of the school holiday. Good luck!!
