i cant make it out from the videos on you tube??

Its basicly a big simulator, i havent been on the dlp one but have been on one at wdw.

It makes me very ill!!

It's like tigger300686 says, its a motion simulator, but its not a very gentle one!! It's cute in a way, but I can't stand it personally...

Aww you wimps :rotfl: only joking i bet it chucks you about just as much as SM2 does

I can't do them either, I end up with terrible motion sickness  I remember when I was dragged on star tours ... I was so ill afterwards !!

It's no where near as intense as SM:M2, but it's quite a different thing to be honest.

If you don't like motion simulators then I would advise steering well clear of Star Tours, because it's fairly realistic as far as motion simulators go.

Personally, I wouldn't say you were missing out on much if you didn't go on it anyway. It's a good ride, but nothing special because the technology has aged a bit and so it's kind of old hat now :goodvibes

if you like star wars, star trek, short circuit then the theming is great.

The 'trip' is based on star wars, and is very good - it stands up to repeated rides.

Is it any different to the one in america? I remember when i was younger and went on it there- i dont like star wars but was SO hooked on that ride LOL. I loved it!! I wanna go on it in DLP next month. Probably on my own though

I quite enjoy it. I mainly love the 'security' video at the star, watching the little ewoks buckle themselves in.

As far as I know, the only difference between the America one and the Paris one is that the Paris pilot speaks French, where as the America pilot speaks English.

I love this attraction, the theming is excellent throughout. I remember my first Disney trip, we stood in line for over an hour to ride this. How times have changed!

having ridden the one in florida too i couldnt see a difference. even the queue area was the same. impecably themed and though a little dated still fun to ride.

worth noting it seemed always busy when we were there.

There's a big difference between "scary" and "vomit-inducing" rides... personally I love big rollercoasters but can't go on the teacups or I feel sick! Star Tours also has this effect on me, but I like the ride so tend to go on it once during every trip. :)

We went on this one on our recent visit-I could cope on it with my eyes closed(!) but my 6 yo DD laughed her head off, she thought it was great! :rotfl:

i love rollercoasters, but i find Star Tours too much to bear! i went on it once and had to shut my eyes after about 30 seconds as i thought i was gonna be sick!

My BIL is seriously into roller coasters (Think Dueling Dragons, etc) but Star Tours makes him very ill indeed.

I love this ride! Great theming and a great ride. As others have said it's a little dated in terms of technology now but great nevertheless.

Lets hope we get some sort of version 2 of it soon though as that would be cool.

I dont find it to bad but I can see why some would find the motion off putting. Its however nowhere near as bad as back to the future in the universal parks. now that is a rough ride. I've even come off of that with proper injuries before.

I do love star tours though as much for the queue area as the ride itself
