Ok, here is my situation. I have a trip booked for WDW from August 26-31. We wanted to go stay on Daytona Beach for a couple days. My mom's friend has a timeshare at OceanWalk Resort which looks REALLY awesome (this will be my first time to see the ocean). So, our 2 nights turned into 3 nights because that is the minimum amount of time to stay there. However, OceanWalk only had a room available from Sept 1-3. Therefore, I am going to have an extra day in there I need to figure out something to do.

How easy is it to have Walt Disney World add an extra night on to your package? Since this is free dining, I am afraid everything might be taken. I have a two year old and would like to do something he might enjoy...I know the Kennedy Space Center is somewhere around in there...would he enjoy that or not? I think my husband would, but I don't know. We just want somewhere to stay pretty CHEAP but also have fun.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

I would not take a 2 YO to Kennedy - it will not be fun for the your child or yourselves.

If you staying near the coast, you could find a playpark, play on the beach, swim in the pool. There are some animal places (conservation zoos) around. Not sure if there is one near where you are ending up, but near Kissimmee is Green Meadow Petting Zoo (down poinciana). Gatorland may be OK for your son - they have a train, play area, snakes, gators. Seaworld is a good choice - lots of animals, shows etc. Lake Toho has a park with play area - take a picnic and relax.

Our 2yo also likes typhoon lagoon. There is a great toddler friendly area there.

My DD loved Sea World and she was only 1.5 years old on our last trip. It isn't cheap, but it is fun. Honestly a two year old would probably love to just relax by the pool. We spent 4 out of 6 days at the pool on our last trip and it was fun just to relax. I personally would rest on that in between day, or head over to the coast early and get a hotel there and explore that area.
