In the LAND building - downstairs.

Be prepared for lines. USE FP's ! :thumbsup2

Without a FP, the normal line had a wait of 2-6 hours.
This was for the last week of June 2006.
With FP we were on the ride within 20 - 30 minutes.
Also - FP's were sold out by 2 PM each day - sometimes by noon.

Soarin' - our favorite ride, next to Kali River Rapids.
You sit in an chair, which you seatbelt your self into.
You place any bags, camera's, loose untied shoes, in the basket under your seat. If you have a large bag or backpack, the 'flight attendant' will store it for you.
There are about 10 seats in a row and 3 rows per section.
There are 3 sections.
Think of an erector set. The top row goes up 40 feet, the next row, 30 feet, the bottom row, 20 feet. As the rows are lifted, you are in darkness. Then the screen in front of you lights up and you are in the clouds.
You will see California as if you were hang gliding in the sky above.
You will smell pine trees when you see the pine forest. You will smell oranges over the orange groves. There is a golf course - watch for the golf ball. You will see river rapids and almost feel like you can touch your feet in the water (no water sprays on you, it is a dry ride). You will see San Fransico, LA, Napa Valley, and end up - where else at Snow White's Castle, Disneyland, in the fireworks. Then the room becomes dark again and you gently land.

There is a height requirement - I think 48". It is not a scarey ride. No roller coaster feeling. There is also a strap between the legs for younger children's safety.

Do Soarin' - just get FP's !

Thanks, Pooh2001 for the description now I can't wait to get back on that ride! It's my favorite. The day my DH & DD go to Blizzard Beach I head to Epcot to ride Soarin' a few times by myself. Can't wait to do it again next week.

wow pooh! that was a great description. i haven't been to epcot since this ride's opened. we're going in september and i can't wait to go on it. :cool1:

Last Sept we got to epcot about 7:00 pm and waited a grand total of 4 1/2 minutes to get on Soarin. It took longer to walk thru the que than we had to wait in line! Gotta love the off season!

:rotfl: I'm not crazy about heights, but was dying to try this... I used the stap between my legs... :rotfl: (I'm a grown 35 yr old adult)

Soarin' has a height requirement of 40". My 5 year old who is quite small can go and he loves it!
