What is School Bread? Do you like it?...

I have heard a lot about school bread in Norway but I still have no clue what it is.

I love the Rice Cream there with the strawberries there but have never had school bread...

Can someone describe it for me? What flavour is it? Do you like it? If not, do you have something else to recommend?

School Bread is a large lightly sweetened round yeast bread, filled with vanilla custard cream and glazed with icing and topped with shredded coconut and a dollop of custard cream on top. We couldn't believe how wonderful this tasted. Great for breakfast with coffee, but if it's not breakfast, it's always snack time!! $2.50 each.

This is how I describe it, an unsweetened roll with a very lite creamy sweet but not too sweet custard filling topped with a sweet icing and covered with untoasted coconut

We like it but share one...it is huge

Please don't feed the birds (or any wild animals). School bread isn't bird food, and feeding them just makes them swarm around restaurants' outdoor eating areas.

Mmmmmmm, school bread. A must on every trip. Its nice to have while waiting for Illuminations to start.

School bread is one of our VERY FAVORITE snacks at WDW. We usually end up getting 2 during the trip. Theya re so big you only need one to share for 2 people.

Here's our pic from last Dec... (the other thing is a cinn roll which was also a snack credit and yummy too)

Here's my version after making the recipe from online...It came out decently but it wasn't the same. The bread has a really yummy flavor tho.

It is so good that that is what DD requested as a souvenir from my next trip to WDW. I told her it wouldn't travel well, but I would be really tempted to eat it before I got home.

I have to admit, I've never tried the Rice Cream. Can't get past the School Bread to order it.

After reading all the snack ideas, i decided I had to try the Dle Whip and The School Bread last week during my trip. The Dole Whip was good-but nothing I have to rush back to get. I did not like the School Bread-it is a cream filled doughnut . However, the pretzel I got from Norway was very good. You just have to try these things-you may find something you love-just don't count on it.

exactly! It's my next favorite thing at Kringla, next to rice cream. Oh, I love the cloudberry horns too. I didn't care much for the pretzel, though.
