What is rebooking? Is it a special deal?

If you rebook while you are on the ship, you get a 10% discount. If you book a 7 night cruise, you get the 10% discount plus $200 in onboard credit.

Then some people transfer the reservation to DU or similar and get even more savings while keeping the onboard credit.

Thanks so much! This is awesome! I have to remember this. Not sure what all that means about transferring it to DU, but hey, a gal can try!

I have never done it before, but what you can do is book the reservation on board. Get the discount and stateroom credit. Then when you get back call Dreams Unlimited and they will give you a quote for a price for the same vacation. They will usually beat the price you got on board. So you will just take the reservation number, transfer it over to Dreams Unlimited (let them do it) and you will retain the onboard credit. So you get an even lower price for the same cruise plus $200 to apply toward purchases onboard, etc. Others who have actually done it may be able to explain better for you.

How far out are you able to book? We're going in November 2005, and I'd consider rebooking but wouldn't be able to go until 2007...do they do it that far in advance?

bump....

I would like to no the aswer to jcemom too! I am going in October and am not sure when the finances will bring me back again (but I do no for sure, that we will be back!!):sunny:

We were asked by DCL when rebooking onboard if we wanted the same travel agency to handle our reservation. Of course I said yes. When we arrived home there was an emaiil from DU advising us they received our transferred reservation along with all the details. Really simple!

We cruised in Febuarary 2004. We enjoyed and and decided to cruise again - but not until 2006. The 2006 dates weren't opened yet, they booked us on a 2005 cruise and told us we could move our dates with our discount intact.

The price, of course, will change, but they will apply 10%.

BTW, it was 10% and a $200 stateroom credit for seven night cruises, but only a smaller stateroom credit for three or four night cruises - no discount - when we sailed.

I had heard if you bring your printed rates from another site they will match them and give you the 10% as well as the $200 credit per stateroom......Does anyone know if this is true?

I would love any input...........:earsgirl:

Great question!! I would love to know that answer too!! Let's see if they do match....
