Ok, with a 5 year old, 20 month old, me, dh, and a young grandma and grandpa, how many countries is it realistic to get through in Epcot in 3 or 4 hours in Jan.?

I personally LOVE Epcot...I think if you skip the rides, and just walk the countries and do in their gift shops, I think you could do it easy in 4 hours.

I would say it depends on your toddler. We just went in December and my DD was 19 months. We knew we were going to skip the rides. We thought we could go through all the countries and stores in one day but our pace was a lot slower than expected. DD would stop and look at birds for 20 minutes or a water fountain for another 20 minutes. Then she'd need to be fed, diaper change, snack, another diaper change, nap. Fortunately we were there for 10 days, so we decided to not rush our DD or ourselves. We let our DD enjoy the simple things at EPCOT and we enjoyed the more relaxed pace. Have a good trip!

It depends on your definition of "get through". We always walk all the way around, so we pass through at look at each country. We'll do the rides in Mexico and Norway and stop for whatever outdoor shows are going on (Morocco- bellydancer, China-acrobats, etc). We go in May during the F&G Festival, so we also like to look at the plants and stop at some of the playgrounds.

If you mean watch the films, explore every area and the stores, go to the Kidcot station, do the Kim Possible thing, try some food, listen to music/watch a live show in each country than it could take quite a while.

We always park hop and go to Epcot for part of the day (morning or afternoon) at least half of the days of our trip. We enjoy Epcot and it was my family's favorite park when I was a kid. This year my kids were 10, 5, and almost 3.

We skip the countries. I did them as a teenager my 1st trip. DW and I did on our honeymoon, never again until this year when we asked, why don't we do the countries? So, we did them again and remembered. The walk is not bad, we just did not find them that interesting. We like Mexico and Norway for the boat rides, France for the movie to rest (and pics with Belle), Morroco for pics with Jasmine, and Canada for Le Cellier Steakhouse. Otherwise, we skip the countries, or ride the boat to bypass them.

I would say about half way around WS. That is without going too in depth but, also not rushing by and waving.

Not much at all honestly.

We thought Epcot was a half a day thing too since the first time we went we did it in a half a day. Then when we took the time to actually ride the rides and take in each country the 2nd trip (not just walk by it...actually go see what they have) it was a Rope drop to just past EMH starting day. We still didnt do everything either. We are deff going to do more when the kids get older and arent going to tire out from being in the sun as much.
