what is pal mickey? i have seen things about it on the boards and remember something about it on our last trip. any help appreciated...thanks!

Pal Mickey is a plush Mickey with a computer chip in his nose. He tells you interesting facts and jokes about the parks depending on where you are currently located. He tells you when the parades are starting and the fireworks shows. Where a character is currently located if you are nearby. He vibrates and giggles to let you know he has something to say. You simply squeeze his hand or tummy and he will talk to you. He even breaks out into song. While waiting to go on a attraction or when you are leaving the attraction he will tell you something about it or a funny statement. My DH and I had a great time with him in June. He also comes with a carrying strap now so I cound loop it over my shoulder. Note protect him from water. Especially his nose when it rained or on water rides I simply tucked him in a plastic bag.

yes and yes
on the disney official website i think there is a list of where you can get it

and yes you can keep it once you leave

and also another yes because that is ALOT of money LOL

I've been wondering if he's worth the money! Thinking about buying one for my 3 yr old.

got mine off of E-bay for about forty dollars. He was an older model but I had trouble with him repeating himself.

You can get the older version of Pal Mickey at Character Premier Stores for $13.99 plus $8.95 shipping ($10.95 shipping for 2). The phone number is 954-846-7161. This one wears the traditional red shorts where the newer version wears a tux. He plays 3 games here at home. The saleslady told me the "pixie dust in the air" will update PM when you walk into the park--just make sure he is turned on and hold him out in front of you. She said delivery would be in 4 - 6 weeks, but I received mine in 12 days. I got this info from the Budget Board. Just love this site!

The cynic in me sez "MGM" another way for the "Mouse to Grab your Money"! LOL

Don't mind me, I ordered one of the discounted Pal Mickey's and my DH & DS intercepted the package, opened it & tested it, then hid it from me...they say I have to wait until my upcoming trip in Dec. to play w/my new toy.

The first time he went off he scared me while walking into MK. I guess we got our money out of him with the belt clip it didn't really bother us to hold him. My kids use him sometines at home.

I would buy the cheap one. I have seen them on Ebay. I think thenew ones have a tux on and the older ones look like a traditional Mickey

We bought ours once we got to the parks so we paid full price but I thought it was worth every penny. There is an accessory that you can buy that interacts with pal mickey. It was a large plastic pin that costs $15. The pin lights up at certain events and pal mickey makes it go off as well. It's a neat little item and I'm telling you, we wouldn't have gotten half the pictures we did had it not been for him telling us about character meets.

We got the older verson for $13.99 Worked great this past week. Love the pal. :Pinkbounc

What if they make new parades? Does he know about them? I doubt it, but I thought I would ask. :)

Keep in mind he has a computer chip which gets it's information from the individual parks so any new info, he will pickup while in the park. That is the beauty of Pal Mickey. :earboy2:
