What Is One Thing You Would Change About DCL?

My other one, and this very minor in the grand scheme of things. I wish with trivia they wouldn't make us trade papers when grading.
I’m actually a fan of swapping. It keeps it on the up & up. Too many people filling in answers as they are given and claiming perfect scores sadly 🫤

No one is going to force you to trade if you refuse to but it’s nice to try to keep it fair.

This seems to depend on the cruise staff as in January on the Dream we swapped, but I just got off the EBTA and we graded our own papers. And I did a lot of trivia on the latter cruise.

Since it’s been mentioned the allergy thing sucks. This is my first cruise with severe allergies and quite frankly it’s been awful-
Can you explain what went wrong?

We just sailed with my best friend and her husband in April and he has a dairy allergy. Our server was fantastic with making sure he was squared away each night and on Castaway/Lookout. Some nights his dessert was better than ours. He did have to pre-order, but most of the time his food then came out at the same time as ours.

To the topic at hand: I want new itineraries in the Caribbean or Central/South America.

I have also seen this change even mid cruise (my guess is someone complained to guest services about people cheating because they didn't win). I run enough WhatApp Group chats for sailings to think it is better to just swap and save all the finger pointing. Phones face down on table (or in a bag) and swapping seems to help.

The thing I HATED was in Sept on the Fantasy every trivia they made us hold up our phones and list all the ways we would not cheat including apps (or websites Im still not sure) I had never even heard of. It was a giant thing each time (not a quick simple dont cheat, dont use the internet, Mickey is watching like normal). I would much rather save the big speech and just say don't use the internet and then swap papers.

I'd love solo cabins to be available on DCL - cabins specifically designed for 1 person.

All lines charge single supplements for cabins not designed to hold only 1 person.
While I would also LOVE them I don't think DCL sees enough single travelers to want to make single person cabins and lose that space that could be used by 3-4 paying guests. I do think a small bit of onboard credit for solo cruisers would be really nice and it's not like $150 in onboard credit actually costs DCL $150 because they are still making a profit off what you purchase.

I have not cruised yet, booked my 1st cruise next April.
In my DVC thread someone said they would like DVC direct owners to automatically be given a fast track to Castaway Club status. This is my one thing as of now.
"Fast Track" to what? The minute you finish your first cruise, you're a member of the Castaway Club. As noted perks aren't really that great (at any level).

Most that have them don't have many (NCL is the exception with the number on them...I'm just scared to try NCL for reasons). Celebrity has like 20? Royal's Quantum Class has like 6. I'd imagine that if Disney were to put 6 on their ships they wouldn't have a problem selling them.

When did Disney have a buffet option for dinner?
Depends. We had a dinner buffet option twice since 2014 or 2015 due to late excursions. One excursion during the inaugural Bermuda sailing season was supposed to provide dinner, but it was more like a snack. I gave my food to my husband because he was hungry and I was not. Someone in our group contacted DCL to let them know, and they had a limited buffet open in Cabanas. The other time it was a full buffet on one side.
