Just trying to get any good odeas for when we make our grocery stop ...

How old are the kids...

On our last trip I bought:

diapers
baby wipes

paper towel
lysol wipes
real box of kleenex ( I had a cold when we started the trip)

single serving canned pears
apples
banannas
grapes

graham crackers
granola bars
pretzels
turkey peperonni
wheat crackers

yogurt
bagels

bottled water
single serving crystal light packets

(I took a few xtra peanut butters and cream cheeses at the counter servie at the hotel)

....next time I plan on getting some of the above and..

string cheese
lunch meat...even to just roll up and eat as a protein snack
dried fruit for snacking

not sure what else....

I try not to get too much on the grocery trip, but my must haves are:

1. Ground Coffee and filters

2. Cereal and Milk

3. Lunchmeat, cheese, bread

4. Banannas

5. Muffins

6. Those Smucker's Round PB&J things

7. Bottled Water!!!!

8. Crackers/Snacks

Let's see if I can remember...

muffins
oatmeal (the kind that comes in single serving containers, my dd uses just some hot tap water and she ate it right up)
cereal (the package of 10 small boxes...my kids love dried cereal for snacks)
lunchables
juice boxes
yoohoo boxes
chips

I bought small cartons of milk at the resort. I bought mainly breakfast stuff since that was the meal we planned on eating most often in the room and the lunchables were a good afternoon snack if one was needed. The small boxes of cereal were easy to throw in the diaper bag and for my kids to eat while in the parks.

We pick up (for the resort fridge):

2 gallons of milk (between DH and DD they drink at least that much)
yogurt smoothies
fresh fruit like grapes and bananas
muffins
cereal
crackers
fruit snacks
juice boxes

We always have to have a fresh deli meats and cheese. Fresh baked rolls and fruit. :flower:

Wow.. It really depends on where you're staying and for how long.

Our last trip we stayed at Saratoga for 5 days, so we basically did a normal weeks grocery shopping. We and breakfast and dinner there almost everyday, and packed snacks for during the day.

Sandwich baggies were great. We used them to pack pretzels, chips, sandwiches, etc. The kids used them to keep their coins for the pressed pennies, our money so it wouldn't get wet on anything, etc.

I too packed single serving items of peaches/pears/pudding. We packed spoons in the sandwich baggies from SSR and washed them in the evening.

Since I am [still] on vacation, we do tend to buy frozen or quick dinners. Hot dogs, mac and cheese, etc. I want to make sure we are still in our budget, but don't want to have the hassle of washing tons and tons of dishes..not to mention spend too much time in front of the stove! LOL

We bought a ton of stuff. We were at BWVs and had a kitchen. We used:

Coffee
Cream
Eggs
Cheese
Bottled Water
Cereal
Milk
some fruit snacks

We used, but in small quantity:
Bread
Peanut Butter
Bagles

We threw away

All but one can of pop we bought
Granola bars
Frozen pizza
Popcorn
Chips
Cookies
Candy Bars

I'm so glad you asked! I've been trying to plan my list too. Once I figure our what I'm gonna buy, I can figure out how much it will cost. We want just breakfast foods, drinks, and snacks.

So far:

Coffee
Basket type coffee filters
case of bottled water(24 bottles)
12pk diet pepsi
12pk mountain dew
gallon of gatorade
gallon of milk
box of cereal
instant breakfast mix
granola bars
pop tarts or donuts
single serve pkgs of chips

We will have 4 adults and 2 kids. One is 7yo and the other 8mo. So so far I have

Case of Water
Crystal Light Packets
12 pack of Dr Pepper
12 pack of Mt Dew
Bananas
Milk
Yogurt
Diapers
Wipes

My list isn't necessarily complete, but I think

we always pack:
protein bars
fruit & nut bars(Quaker)
Pop Secret/Jumbo Pop microwave popcorn(just take a look at how much microwave popcorn is in the food courts...yikes!)
coffee/filters (even though WDW provides these in the moderates, most of the time we bring our own)

and at the grocery stop we might get:
bottled water
Beer
soda
wine
fruit - apples, grapes, bananas
cereal (good for snacking as well as breakfast)
peanut butter
jelly
loaf of bread
chips

The weekend before we leave home, we go to our local Costco for the fruit/nut bars and other treats. My DH buys his protein bars on sale at GNC or online - it's really nice to have those protein bar for a quick breakfast or a snack in the parks.

agnes!
