I noticed that something called "Night of Joy" is scheduled in 2007 at the Magic Kingdom for September 7 and 8. What is Night of Joy?

Thanks.

It's a series of Christian concerts. It's a hard ticket event, so you have to pay extra to attend.

also be warned even though this is church groups attending group behavior is not always good. It is also as you might expect very loud all over the park. pirate:

Is it loud throughout the day too? That is to say, do they sing all day long, or what? And what time does the park close on evenings the group is there? Never heard of this special night. Do they shoo guests out of the park early, or what?

Thanks.

It follows the same format as they use for other hard ticket events like MNSSHP & MVMCP. Guests with tickets can enter around 4 PM, but the event doesn't start up until 7 PM and then runs until midnight. The park is open as normal for regular hours until 6 PM. Guests without NOJ tickets must leave by that time.

It's a wonderful event!

I agree with MaconMouse, night of joy is a great event.. great music... we were there for one night last year and had a great time.

It is usually the weekend after Labor Day. In '06,some of the Christian music groups that appeared were Casting Crowns,Rebecca St. James,Mercy Me,Matthew West,Todd Agnew,ZoeGirl,BarlowGirl,Jeremy Camp,Smokie Norful,Building 429,Kirk Franklin,Toby Mac,and others I've forgotten. After 6pm,only people who have bought tickets to Night of Joy are allowed on rides, although the first concerts don't start until 7:30.

Hi there,
I've found it on a website... google night of joy 2007 for more info, but the dates are 7th and 8th September.

Hope this Helps

Notice:

Due to the protests of Seattle Rabbi Elazar Bogomilsky, next year there will also be a two-night Hard Ticket Event called "The Night of Oy!"

If you are interested in going to the concerts you should also look into Rock the Universe at Universal. Last year I went there instead of NOJ because I wanted to see those groups more. Crowds those days were a little heavier than I would have liked but not terrible. Regarding the behavior of the youth, In my opinion they were fine from what I saw. The concerts will be crowded but no one I saw was pushing and shoving to get a better position. I didn't ride any rides during the concerts so I don't know how long wait times were.
