What is my chance in Oct.?

We're planning on a week long trip to WDW in Oct. It will probably be one of the last 3 weeks in Oct. My question is will it be hard to book DVC if we wait till the middle of summer to book. We would probably stay at OKW and there will be 2 of us. I think we would like to book a 1 bedroom. I just don't know if we will be ready to book until then. Our busy time is summer and it helps to know what kind of summer our business has had. I know it will be during the wine fest and not sure if that will make a difference as to how full the resorts will be. Thanks for any input.

We called yesterday to see for 10/2-10/10. OKW and SSR (all others were full) has availability for 1 bdrm and studios. Hope this helps.

We have been on the waitlist since March for a studio @ BC or BWV...also could only get a split ressie for OKW & AKL. You might have luck at SSR (we didn't want to stay there the entire week).

Our trip is for 11-17th.

I made reservations 2 days ago for Oct 6th through Oct 9th. The only available studio for the three nights was SSR.

I ended up taking a 1 BDRM at AKV and have to move ( 1st night is in a standard view, second 2 nights are in SAV view ) I think OKW had 1 BDRMs available also but it seemed that accomodations were pretty tight.

Any reason you can't book now and then cancel the reservation if you decide that it doesn't make sense to go? If you will be using current (or already banked) points and can cancel more than 30 days out and still within your banking window, then I would say make the reservation now! I called a couple of days ago to get a studio for my friend. Oct 12 was completely booked everywhere. We did get a Studio at SSR for 13-18 but she pointed out availability was "very limited"
