We're thinking of going in early or mid June next year. How hot and crowded will it be? What are the temps? We loved going in March this past year but it is hard to take the girls out of school. Does anyone have the link to the chart that predicts crowds for next year's dates? thanks.

Further to this I'm wondering if there is a link to average temperatue high's and low's for all months of the year.

We should post that somewhere as a sticky if we can.

We just got back from Disney a few weeks ago. We went from June 9-15th. I won't lie...it was HOT! The crowds were not too bad until about the 12th or so. We also had the rain pretty much every day(more so this time because Alberto came through). We had a good time, but June is not my favorite time. It is hard if you have kids in school to go anytime but summer, but I think next year I am going to take my kids out for a day or two around Fall Break and go then. One note...the Flower and Garden Festival was taking place at Epcot which was very nice. The flowers are beautiful! They also had a butterfly house you could walk through. Pretty neat! If June is the only time you can go, I say go for it anyway.

I am not sure of the temperatures, but we go every june becase my wife is a school teacher. We have never had a problem with crouds. we follow the advice always given to show up early and use fast pass to ride as much as possible. We always avoid the parks with the emh.
My kids are 1 and 3 and did not have a problem with the heat, of course we are from san antonio tx. We just made sure to leave the parks by 2 pm and returned in the evenings after 6pm.

we did a spring break trip in march a few years ago and the crowds were horrible. I will never do that again.

We just returned, we were there June 20-July 4.

Yes it was very, very hot!!! So be prepared for that. Bring mister fans and dress light. I would see people with long shirts and pants and think...boy they have to be hot.

There were crowds, but we followed the TGM and never had to wait longer then 10 minutes for any ride and was even able to ride several of the rides a couple times in a row.

I would suggest going to the parks 1st thing in the morning, taking a break in the afternon (this is when it rained most of the time anyway) and then head back in the evenings when things cooled down. This worked great for us and the boys loved swimming every afternoon.

We were there 6/12 - 6/17 and it was hot hot hot and humid humid humid. We arrived during tropical storm Alberto, so it rained quite a bit while we were there. It was pretty crowded too, but we utilized fastpass as much as possible and that helped tremendously. Our neighbors had gone the week before us and said it wasn't as hot.

The earlier in June you go the less the crowds should be. Many schools up north do not get out until mid-June. It gets hotter as the month goes on also. I use the weather chart in the UG, maybe weather.com has averages!!

It will always be hot & humid in June...but temps will vary greatly, I learned this from going in early June two years in a row.

In '04 it was so hot & crowded we thought we were gonna melt. One day in MGM we really almost lost it!

In '05 in June, it rained more & seemed more bearable! I guess the rain cooled things off a bit though the humidity is just always there!

The above suggestions about hydration and getting an early start are key to enjoying yourself ~~

We just returned from a late June vacation. Although it was hot, we had a great time. We did follow the Unofficial Guide touring plans and got to the parks early before the crowds. Then we did the pools in the afternoons and returned to the parks in the evening for dinner or strolling etc. The parks are open early and very late to accomodate the crowds and heat. I am a teacher and can only go during school vacations and it was great as long as we left the parks during the heat of the day.

I was checking touringplans.com for the first week of June, but the dates only go to the end of May '07. Does anyone know what the first week is rated on their scale of 1 to 10?

Hot, humid, rainy, crowded - FABULOUS! :thumbsup2

It's a great time to go. Fastpass has pretty much cured the worst waits. The parks are open late, so you can maximize your vacation by taking breaks to swim or go to waterparks - and still have loads of park time!

Pretty much all the shows and attractions are running which is a huge bonus.

You have to give up a little personal comfort with the weather, but there are so many other things that outshine that little problem. :sunny:

We were there 6/11-6/17 2006. It was hot, but not unbearable, at least to us. We kept ice in a water bottle, had a mister fan and wet wash cloths to combat the heat. Anytime we could duck in to an air conditioned building, we took advantage of it.

We too were in the parks while TS Alberto unleashed the rains. I packed ponchos from the Dollar Tree and WalMart and we made the most of it. I anticipated a shower every day, so it didn't come as much of a surprise if there was a short afternoon shower. That Monday it was a steady rain from wake up until late afternoon. Tuesday there were two heavy downpours that almost kept us from going to SeaWorld, but once they were out of the way it turned out to be a beautiful day.

As for crowds, the longest we waited in stand by was 40 minutes, by choise. We utilized Fast Pass to take advantage of other attractions when the waits were longer.

I saved the touringplans crowd predictor. You can see it here. (requires MS Word or similar).

We are also thinking of going in June.

Any other opinions? Is it typically rainy during this time, (besides the hurricanes)

Thanks
