What is happening to Tusker House?

Is the change adding a buffet (and keeping a counter service part too) or completely switching over to table service?

Does anyone know when they will be taking A.D.R's for buffet at Tusker House?

Last I heard, Tusker House will offer a character breakfast (Donald's Breakfast Safari), and non-character lunch and dinner buffets.

Limited counter service will still be offered at the existing coffee window.

Scheduled for a November opening.

I'd like to make ADR's for Donald's as well. I heard something about them taking reservations in October.

Ah hah--I think I remember reading this, which must have transformed into a wishful thought that maybe the counter service would remain. I'm guessing that "limited" probably means just things like pastries and coffee . . . ?

Tusker house has always been a must-do for us. My 10 year old LOVES the salmon. Believe me, he is not an adventurous eater, usually mac-n-cheese all the way. I love the chicken, mashed potatos and green beans. I hope they keep some of our fav's on their buffet!

That chicken meal is our favorite at WDW, so I also hope they have it on the buffet. I also know, and it does bother me, that I'm going to be paying a lot more than the present price of $7.99 in order to get it!!

Darn they are going to ruin it. I just can't take another character meal! And that Chicken lunch with the green beans was one of the hidden gems of Disney!
I hate buffets. And am mad that I am losing my favorite lunch place.
