Eating at BOG for dinner for the first time Jan. 16. What is good ? Not interested in the braised beef or ratatouille. How is the lamb, or the shrimp and scallops?

I can't help with a dinner choice, but be sure to save room for two desserts ( they're small) 1. the strawberry cupcake AND 2. The Grey Stuff.

My husband has had the shrimp and scallops twice and really enjoyed the dish. I'm a fan of the steak at BOG (and I'm not usually a steak eater)- every time I've had it, it has been cooked perfect and very juicy and tender.

I'm not usually a steak person, either, but the steak at BOG was fantastic! One of the best meals of our last trip.

We just ate there in Dec. and were disappointed. They changed the shrimp and scallop dish to a pasta dish, which I wasn't interested in. Also my hubby still talks about the fries with his steak and how they looked and tasted like they came from a hot dog stand outside. We did enjoy the salad trio. I'll be heading back with my mom (she really wanted to go) soon and hope we have a better experience.

We really enjoyed the steak and frites. It was very tasty and cooked exactly to order. I think it was probably our best dinner on that trip!

I had the lamb and it was very good. I cook lamb regularly and it was up to my high standards!

My husband had the lamb last year and has raved about it ever since. He is looking forward to our trip this year to get the lamb again!

My husband and I both enjoyed the steak when we went. It was very tender. However, we substituted mashed potatoes for the fries.

We haven't been for dinner lately, so I'm not sure if the menu has changed. We really enjoyed the steak and the pork chop last time. Both were very flavorful and tender.

We went last night. We have been for dinner 4-5 times before.
I like the steak....yummy!
DH tried the scallops and shrimp this time and really liked it. It did have pasta, but he said there was just a bit on the bottom. The menu doesn't mention it has pasta, but when they explain the dishes and the changes, it is mentioned
He has really liked the lamb too.

I had the shrimp and scallops. I thought the sauce was a little too garlicky
The steak is good. I thought the fries were overly salted
The braised pork is a great choice
We have also done the lamb and pork chops and both were good.
I also like the potato leek soup

What was the pasta dish...? It hasn't been changed/updated on the online menu.

It isn't on the menu, but the server told us about it saying it's much larger now. I have had the previous dish and thoroughly enjoyed it and am not a big pasta eater. This wasn't a bonus to me.

They've definitely changed the menu up...We were there at Christmas time and we're a bit surprised, but it was still very good. I loved the Shrimp and Scallops before-(with the pastry)-but the pasta version is still good...HUGE shrimp! :rainbow:
Girls got the steak...and the the braised pork...both were very good. Something has drastically changed with the Onion Soup though...now only a 5 on a 10 pt scale...IMHO-(In My Hungry Opinion).

Still will try to make it at least once per trip. (Lunch sammies are also very good!) :smokin:

@LBlovesM&WDW and @buckeev - Is it a pasta with shrimp and scallops...? Is it a cream or butter sauce...?

DH would love the BOG dinner, but I am meh on the menu. I'd love to meet Beast though, so if I could modify a pasta dish that might work!

I had the pork chop in November and it was perfectly cooked but way under seasoned. I wish I had gotten the braised beef.

@ChasingLeslie This is the pic and review I found:
Sauteed Shrimp and Scallops
This one has definitely undergone some changes. Previously, it was served in an edible bowl made of puff pastry. This time around, the dish incorporated Pappardelle. The creamy Lobster Sauce was just as rich, however, and Sauteed Spinach added color to the dish.
