What is going on with the FP+ crackdown?

Why not just walk away then? Why just complain about everything they do instead? You aren't gonna change them, that's for sure.

Because it's easier to complain than put your money where your mouth is. Or in this case, put the credit card in the drawer. My future in laws are like this about cruises. They complain all throughout the cruise and then 2 months after they get back, they book another cruise. Only to complain about everything once again.

Someone on the Line Chat claims their account was locked after attempting CPFP twice. When they removed the lock, they deleted all FPs not assigned to real people. They also told him they could unlock an account once, after that no more fastpasses... Ever.

FP not assigned to real people? How do you determine who is real?

I saw it right here on this thread. [Emphasis added]

It was OK, because it wasn't a cheat. It was allowed, and and anyone could do it. Most didn't know about it. Out of those who knew, some chose not do it (as evidenced by their moral indignation), and others chose to do it. No one who did it was cheating. This is why there were no punishments, and why it was openly discussed here.

WDW already has a way to pay for extra FP's. Just buy two tickets, and manage/use them separately on the same day. Like the previously available methods to maximize FP usage, it is available to everyone, and not prohibited.

Okay, fair enough. I guess I did write about those doing it in the past because I do hold those that were cheating the system responsible for the changes that now affect others that weren't abusing the system. But it's not a witch hunt.

Sorry, but it was a cheat. How do we know? Because Disney's ToS hasn't been revised since 2016 and they finally updated the system to enforce it. The fact that this site no longer allows the "strategy" to be discussed because it is against ToS emphasizes that. If the ToS didn't change, then it was always against the ToS.

Just because something CAN be done through a loophole in the system doesn't make it right. Creating FAKE names, ghost accounts, phantom names, alter egos... using old MBs, purchasing extra MBs with no ticket for entry attached, etc... If anyone claims they thought that was all legit, I really have a hard time believing them. Especially since so many people specifically pointed out to them that it's cheating, scamming, etc. They can't claim ignorance. FP instructions clearly stated up to 3 FPs can be made and later at the park you can make more if available.

If I tell my kids it's time for bed they have school tomorrow, I expect them to go to bed and go to sleep. I don't expect to walk in the room two hours later and see them watching television. If they say, "We are in bed. You didn't tell us we had to go to SLEEP. You didn't lock the cable box or Netflix or remove the TV from our room. All we had to do was turn it on and we were able to watch it. Not our fault. It's yours. You left the TV there for us to utilize. We thought it would be okay."

Uh no.

The TOS did not change, only enforcement, which shows it was always against the rules.

Just because everyone drives 10 over on the highway to work, and I never see anyone get a ticket, doesn't mean it isn't against the rules.
And if you get pulled over the "everyone does it" excuse doesn't matter. Neither does the "ten miles over the limit" myth apply. Nor does "Well my car goes up to 120 mph, why would they make it able to do that if I'm not actually allowed?"

Yeah, but if I don't get pulled over I get where I am going a lot faster.

LOL. Exactly, and if you kill a few people along the way... Oh well. :thumbsup2

Boy do I know this type. Not only is it easier I think some just thrive on complaining. I know I have them in my family. I think it's what gets them out of bed each day
