What Is Going On With LeCellier ADRs?

The rule has been that you have to eat BEFORE the show you attend. Last year for the 8:15 show your choices were 5-5:30. Correct me if I'm wrong, but thats what they told me.

Okay. It's no big deal I just wanted a later time since we are on the DDP. Thanks for the info!!!

I called at my 180 day mark, I was looking for LeCellier for the 6th or 7th day of our visit, nothing, nada, not one table left for dinner. That would mean the only people who could have filled the entire restaurant for both nights at all time slots called only 3 or 4 days before me? I can't tell you how many posts I've seen where people couldn't get LeCellier either for the first week of December.

Even the CM I talked to was very surprised that it was sold out at the 186 and 187 day mark. She even leaned over and told the CM next to her and they were just as surprised. I ended up booking the Coral Reef on my second choice day because they also had nothing for my first choice. What the heck is going on?

Other than Candlelight what is going on? Do you think they are holding tables for the Candlelight bookings that begin on Monday?

When I was speaking to the CM doing my ADRs she mentioned that Le Cellier has become tougher than CRT of late...and opined that it was partly because of the DDP and part because the restaurant is so small they really can't handle the crowds as well as some of the other places. Of course, for me, this was all moot b/c I wasn't booking there but was interesting none the less.

Seems like the degree of difficulty really depends on WHEN you're going, too. I called on my 180+10 last week, and had 4 choices for Christmas Eve - which is our 7th day. We ended up choosing 6:30 (I think), because we've seen the CP twice and the narrator choice is not who we'd like. (Really want Gary Sinese again!)

Maybe because I was farther out? I don't know, I was just happy!:thumbsup2

I would keep trying - there are the occasional cancellations. We were able to change from a 2 to a 3 last year, when my niece decided to join me and DD - during free dining no less. * Not free for us, we booked too late. :(

**** Is your date the first week of Dec? Isn't that Pop Warner and Mousefest? That could make a difference. Otherwise, if you were calling for Christmas Eve, I guess I'm even more confused because I was at the same mark and didn't have a problem getting a table for 3.

But the latest you can eat for CP is at 5:30 (thats for the 8:15 show) so if it's booked up after like 6:30 then that has nothing to do with it.

Yeah, my thought exactly. I was trying to get it at 180 days out and there was nothing for lunch or dinner. Where are all the tables after 6 p.m.? Not being held for CP:confused3

I was trying for December 3rd or 4th for two parties of four for dinner. When I couldn't get that, I asked for one party of four. Nada..... I figured between the Candlelight Processional, this being a very busy week for DVC members due to the lower points required, and Christmas hoopla that is going on.....

I did call back right at the 180 mark too at the suggestion of the CM. She also suggested calling when the CP packages are available. She believes that a lot of people booked reservations thinking they could use them with CP but will have to cancel those and rebook. She said I could probably grab one in the midst of being cancelled and rebooked. Did I mention, she was really great and helpful!

We are just going to stick with our Coral Reef reservation, I just don't have time to keep calling. I already switched our MGM and Epcot day to get the Coral Reef reservation. We'll be fine, I'll just miss my super yummy filet mignon. And now I can't get it at The Concourse Steakhouse either!:worried:

Regarding the Candlelight Processional, I'm sure you have to eat first or you won't have your tickets. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you get your tickets at dinner?

i guess I got lucky too, I got a reservation for 4 for our 1st night in August, then I made reservations for 8 a couple of days later.

but when I tried in 07, I didn't have any luck, I called over and over and there was nothing

I just called and got LC for Christmas Eve no problem!

According to the CM I had LOTS of times to choose from.

We took 4:35pm.

We had lunch at Le Cellier and it was wonderful! If you can't get dinner, why not try the last seating for lunch? Our party of 9 had a good table, a great waitress, and excellent food!!! We had a birthday cake with the princesses on it for the 3 birthday girls at our table and it was the best cake we ever had. Chocolate cake with whip cream frosting and the 5 princesses that were screened on top -- Fabulous!!!! We have had both dinner (a long time ago) and lunch (last week) at LC and enjoyed both, but if I were having a hard time securing a dinner reservation, I would go for lunch.

If you eat slow I'll be seeing you there, I have DRS at 5:30 Christmas Eve.
