What Is Going On With LeCellier ADRs?

I called at my 180 day mark, I was looking for LeCellier for the 6th or 7th day of our visit, nothing, nada, not one table left for dinner. That would mean the only people who could have filled the entire restaurant for both nights at all time slots called only 3 or 4 days before me? I can't tell you how many posts I've seen where people couldn't get LeCellier either for the first week of December.

Even the CM I talked to was very surprised that it was sold out at the 186 and 187 day mark. She even leaned over and told the CM next to her and they were just as surprised. I ended up booking the Coral Reef on my second choice day because they also had nothing for my first choice. What the heck is going on?

Other than Candlelight what is going on? Do you think they are holding tables for the Candlelight bookings that begin on Monday?

no doubt some space is being held for Candlelight bookings.

Not only that, but Le Cellier is exceedingly popular and all the open spots are being taken quickly by onsite guests who can book early.

What frustrates me the most is that we visit four times a year and eat at LeCellier everytime. This is the only time I have called this far out and not been able to get anything!

Call back every day.
They do not release all the tables for the 180+10 bookings. Some are held for the 180 day mark. Maybe they will extend hours the way they do later in December.

That said, this is the hardest table to get in all of WDW for me. This is a set your alarm and dial in the second the switchboard opens kind of ressie, the way people do (or used to) for Cindy's.

I called today at my 180 day mark and there was nothing. I got Coral Reef instead. Dh really wanted to eat there so I will keep trying.

Tried to get Le Cellier Candlelight Processional Package for Christmas Eve 2007...set the alarm, called first day possible and couldn't get it. :(
This year going in September (free dining  ) and haven't been able to get an ADR then either...:confused3

And I thought I was crazy for calling at the 180 day mark for August. Sure glad I did as my kids would have been upset if we didn't get LeCellier.

How many is in your party? What time were you looking for on Dec. 7th? I may be able to help.

we called at the 180 mark for lunch at le cel (dec 12) and got within 1/2 hour of what we wanted - we find less problems getting lunch there

I have a 14 day trip scheduled for December and was lucky enough to secure three nights for Le Cellier. The CM was very surprised I was able to get 3, 7:30 reservations...I made them last week.

But the latest you can eat for CP is at 5:30 (thats for the 8:15 show) so if it's booked up after like 6:30 then that has nothing to do with it.

I think you can get a later seating for CP if you eat AFTER the first show.

I always see this. I just do not understand it. For the past 3 visit's. I was able to book dinner. With no problem. Last year. I called at 180 days out. Got dinner. No problem. Then, I called back around 140 days out. To book dinner, a second day. No problem. This year also with no problem, @ 170 days out. I just do not get why I hear how difficult it is to get. But, never have problems.:confused3

It just seems odd. As, I have never been one with much luck. If there is such a thing.

Anyway, OP. I hope you get what you want.

I think part of the problem may be the size of your party. A table for 2 seems to be very difficult to get. Even if they have several "4 tops" open, they will say that there is nothing available for a party of two. They don't want to use a table for 4 for just 2 people. It's very disappointing for those of us who need a table for 2. Maybe they should add a few more "2 tops", especially since this is a restaurant that is very popular for couples.

It's very small, for one, so there simply aren't as many tables available as other WS spots. Add in the over popularity, the CP packages, and that they hold some tables until exactly 180 days out and you get a spot hard to book a reservation at.

Keep trying - something might open up.

I guess I was lucky I got them there for 5:30 on Christmas Eve. :thumbsup2

So, I can get a 6:00 seating for the 8:15 show instead of the 5:00- 5:35 timeframe

The rule has been that you have to eat BEFORE the show you attend. Last year for the 8:15 show your choices were 5-5:30. Correct me if I'm wrong, but thats what they told me.
