What is Going On This Morning

I decided to look this morning at 7:10 to see if times for SDD and ROTR would pop up like they always have when I have tested it.

Not only did times come up, but they stayed up much longer than usual, often without change for a few minutes while I refreshed regularly. Now at 7:15 SDD is still available with a 7 PM return.

This has been an extremely unusual pattern. Early times for FOP and 7DMT are still available too.

I wonder if there has been a problem with booking. I can’t believe that the parks are going to be that uncrowded or that they have that dramatically increased availability.

I‘m curious what anyone onsite has experienced.

The big difference today compared to what I have seen before is times being available continuously and not changing as fast.

With Thrill Data it’s hard to tell if available times are constant or just occasional pop ups.

Just now (9:50 AM) I checked DHS and there was a return time for ROTR for 5:50 PM. When I refreshed there was nothing again. I refreshed again and there was a return time for 1:05 PM. Refreshed again and that was gone.

SDD has had something available for every refresh, usually very late, but occasionally earlier.

7DMT and FOP still have availability too. FOP is for around noon.

I think it has gotten so crowded at WDW that no one goes there anymore.

At 8:45 this morning I saw ROTR ILL return for 9:05am and it stayed in the 9:00 hour for a little while. Saw random SDD times also.

You can definitely try it out! You can even tap the return time to get to the next page. You can’t get any further if you don’t have any eligible guests for that day, but it’s nice to see all your connected friends and family show up there. Been very interesting to see how quickly times move on various attractions. I’ve found that the race starts at precisely 7am on an iPhone so it’s not even necessary to check 15 seconds earlier either.

You can see what’s available, but if you‘re testing at home on one of the most popular attractions it’s a good idea to refresh the page once or twice to see if the time changes significantly or if “Not Currently Offered” appears. What you see at first might be a random pop up that might have been gone before you were able to book it.

This morning (Sunday) is looking a lot like yesterday with times for SDD and ROTR becoming plentiful after the first “Not Currently Offered” in the first minutes after 7 PM.

Either fewer people have been booking them the last few days or they have made more LL slots available, or some combination of the two.

Yesterday was beautiful in the Orlando area, high in the 80s and sunny.

It’s after 10 am and there’s still availability for SDD. I can see 5:40pm and refreshed a bunch of times. Never changed, never disappeared. Perhaps if they release more times prior to 11 there just aren’t enough people who are eligible to book something yet?

It's not peak season right now, so not too surprising to me? It's right before February break for the Northeastern states, at least.

Crowds are obviously a factor, but the Thrill Data charts confirm that LL availability for SDD the last two days has been noticeably different than any other days in the last month.

I wouldn’t think that crowds have been that much lower the last two days than the rest of that period.

It hasn‘t looked to me like availability for other top attractions at DHS, like MFSR, RNRC, or TOT has been that different.
