What is going on in VMK

I have been in two trade rooms and people are talking gibberish. I can not undertand what they are saying. None of the works make sense. Some people talk normal and others are talking all weird. Someone said it is a bug.

Anyone know what is going on?

I feel like I stepped into a VMK twilight zone.

Oh thank goodness, I thought I was losing my mind. People were trying to trade with me and I had no idea what they were saying.

there are a lot of yohoYoho, tyvm, whales and other words that don't make sense to me.

I noticed this in peoples sig lines too... sometimes very comical results but mostly gibberish!

i found out it's about servers

depending on what server you and others sare on the writing is ok

well that's what CL_Tangaroa said as i could see his writing fine

Different dictionaries are being loaded beacuse a server was restored from a backup and had an old version is what I'm hearing. It is pretty funny though.

I just checked dictionary versions on different computers and they are loading different versions for sure. It gets worse the furthur down the alphabet you go.
a=a
apple=apple

walt=walt's
you= youth

so on and so fourth...

I tried to reload the game but I am still seeing some really crazy convos.

Bad part was that someone was willing to trade a Sorcerer's Hat and I couldn't understand what they wanted in return.

wow, thought it was me. I was just trading with one of my mules (lol) and my main character was in firefox. everything was fine. But the mule was in IE and i couldnt read a thing, menus, nothing the text was HUGE and when i tried to type in IE everything came out wrong. but the firefox window was fine, and what i typed is what was said. but what my mule typed, came out weird in both windows. ....weird.

I thought it was just me! I thought maybe everyone had suddenly started using some new computer/virtual chat lingo that I didn't understand! I've been scratching my head all morning trying to figure out what "tyvm" means!

This problem also seems to be affecting Private messages between players because Pixiebell sent me a note that makes absolutely NO sense ... then again, it was Pixiebell.

I think tyvm means Thank you very much.
