What is going on 2-23-17 at WDW ?

I was just checking availability for the 7 month window of 2/22/17. For some reason there are many resorts w/ partial availability but when i look at the calendar for some reason it is only becuase thursday 2/23 is not available -- I find it strange that there is one day full but still availability prior and after that date. What could be going on that one day?

Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend

Between mid-January and late Sep, the two highest DVC demand times during that period are the Princess half marathon weekend, which is always the weekend after Presidents' Day, and, beginning this year, the Star Wars Dark Side weekend, mid-April in 2016 and April 20-23 in 2017, which also has a half marathon. For those weekends, the weekend demand begins on Thursday.

What you are seeing for some room categories is that Thursday is full and Friday and Sat is shown as open. That indicates there are likely few rooms still available for Friday and Saturday. That is caused by Presidents' day. You have many who go for President' day time that leave Friday morning (before weekend higher points), and then you have large nimbers of Princess half marathon guests arriving Thursday for the weekend with the result that the Thursday gets demand from both groups.
