What is gas now where you live?

Here in Yellowknife we're at $4.78 a gallon or $125.9/ liter. The only good thing in nothing in town is far so we don't go through much. :)

Gas is expensive in Canada, but not that bad! It is 125.9 CENTS, not DOLLARS (which is what you actually wrote) - I think it is time we stopped pricing gas in cents.

According to this morning's Globe and Mail (if I remember correctly), gas is highest in Newfoundland - $1.30/litre (or about $4.92/gallon - ignoring exchange rate).

$3.39 a gallon for regular unleaded in central Alabama. Last week in Daytona Beach I paid $3.49 a gallon for regular unleaded.

I paid $3.69 today for Diesel. I noticed it was the same price for regular gasoline too.

3.71 today on Staten Island..i'll be going over the bridge and filling up in jersey this week

$3.27 to fill the van at Costco tonight. At least they didn't raise it since yesterday...:sad2:

$3.44 but I saw one gas station at $3.54 so that's what they all will be by tomorrow morning. This is in Pierre, SD.

it is still 3.85 at the minimart by me 45 minutes east of DL. That is the same price it has been for a couple of days. There are stations all over the city that are from 3.99 to 4.19 though.

We'll have to see where things go, but back when oil hit $147 a barrel in September of 2008, and the national average for gasoline was $4.17 a gallon...Americans really stopped driving. $4.00 is our limit, and OPEC knows it. Granted, we had a massive meltdown in the financial world, but by December of 2008....oil plummeted to 35 bucks a barrel and gas when to $1.61 a gallon.

Now, I know that gas is already over $4.00 in some east and west coast cities, but it's not there nationally. As of today we're at $3.52 nationally.

Obviously, the situation in Libya and the Middle East overall has a lot to do with what's going on...if a no-fly zone is put in place, we could see prices drop back down.

But if gas goes over $4.00 a gallon nationally, demand in the US really begins to drop. If it goes over $5.00 a gallon....demand would plummet.

But by the time you figure in the cost of the gas to get there and back and the toll. I think it would still be cheaper to buy the gas in Staten Island. :confused3 There is only about a .20 difference per gallon. So even 10 gallons would be $2.00. Isn't the toll like $6 or $8 now?

Yesterday it was 3.83 at my mini mart. Today 4.00. .13 cents overnight. Guess it may now be 5 bucks by easter instead of 4.
