I was just wondering what everyone is doing for dinner tonight.

Since I saved up some points earlier today (it helps when you can only eat soft foods ;) ) I am going to be having:

1 cup pasta = 3 points
1 cup jarred pasta sauce = 4 points
w/hamburger meat in the sauce = 5 points
side salad = 0 points
2 T Italian dressing = 2 points
1 slice garlic bread = 4 points

Total: 18 points

I am having my typical "lunch" for dinner (carrot sticks, pear, brie cheese and crackers!) Had "cheat" lunch at a seafood place on the coast today, so I had to cut back for dinner. hee hee!

P.S. Didn't think the rock shrimp were worth the hype, but am glad we finally made it to Dixie Crossroads to see what all the fuss was about! ;)

I just had a small salad
1/4 eggplant with parmesean breading fried (yummy)
2 tabblespoons of Franks Marinara sauce
tall glass of water

It's beautiful here today so we're breaking out the BBQ! :)

Steak - 0 (worcestershire sauce- 1)
2-cups of salad with Blue Cheese Dressing-3
Spinach-cooked- 1
Chocolate Desert that I made from a melted carbolite bar and Whipped Cream-1

Total - 6
 
I'm having Atkins waffles and ham or maybe bacon...wait....sausage? I can't decide :)

well I just finished dinner and am waaayyyy stuffed!

I made bean/tortilla pizzas for the family

2 tortillas/fat free refried beans/salsa/1/4 c. cheese - 6 pts total
One serving reduced fat corn chips with salsa - 3 pts
One half homemade canned amaretto pear - ?? 2 pts ??

I'm at 22 pts for the day and I'm done!! I didn't exercise today (day off)
 
I just had steak, spinach with butter and yes, WATER!!! I am full but am craving something sweet. Fortunately there isn't much in my refrigerator. I guess a few spoonfuls of whip cream will satisfy me.
 
I had a skate wing, lightly fried in butter with some prawns just tossed gently in the melted butter to warm, some baby spinach and some caulflower florets, followed by water!!
 
elsiebutt- I know what a prawn is, but what exactly is a skate wing?
 
A skate is a flat fish like a place or a ray - the wings are really yummy just fried really quickly

From Jeeves - "Skate is native to both the Atlantic and Pacific coastal waters, the term or name simply refers to any type of "ray". Skate can reach upwards of 100 pounds.

Skate must first be soaked in a vinegar or salt solution before preparation, this removes any ammonium flavors that can develop after capture.

Skate can be sauted, poached or baked. It is a favorite fish in France where it is often prepared with brown butter"

I had a big taco salad!
Lots of shredded lettuce topped with
a bit of shredded cheddar
couple slices of onion
couple tblsps of salsa
and seasoned ground venison
and a dollop of sour cream

YUM!

That sounds so good wovenwonder- I was gonna make plain old hamburgers for dinner- but I like taco salad better. Thanks for the idea! And yes, that sakte is rather ugly, but, if those wings can get up to 100 lbs- and there are no points or carbs in them- MAN!!!!!! you could really get full eating that!! :eek: :rolleyes: ;) :)
 
I only had a little one - about 10ozs - :rolleyes: Mind you at £3/lb it is quite pricey so I can only afford little ones!

I love seafood but when I go into the fishmongers and see all those poor dead little eyes staring at me I always have to go for the fillets, wings or roes as I couldn't bear to see them looking up at me as I prepared it!
 
I had very lightly breaded scallops and a baked potato, YUM!
I have 3 points left so I might have a WW ice cream. This is probably the first time I actually might use all my points.
 
I had an eggbeaters omelet with mushrooms, onion, tomato, a little cheddar cheese, a little turkey, and a slice of toast with jam.

(how many points would that be? I know nothing of points, LOL :) )
 
I had Shrimp sauteed in butter and a bit of lemon juice with a big salad filled with lettuce, cucumbers, egg and bacon! :) Also lots of water! :)
 
SH made hamburgers and baked french fries. He had beef and chicken burgers, so I had chicken, a small bun, and the fries. He even cooked them long enough to be crispy for me. What a sweetie. Don't know points, but I was pleased to get the protein, and caloriewise fit the day. ;)

1/2 c LF refried beans 1
2 T grated cheese 2
a sprinkle of ground beef 3
a bunch of lettuce, onion, tomatoes, and salsa.

Good thing my boys like beans. This is a favorite for dinner and tortilla pizzas are a favorite lunch.
