What is first thing you do at mgm

Thanks to the OP for asking about MGM. How strict of a touring plan do you need if you do not do the big 2? (ToT/R&R)
I was assuming Star Tours would be our first stop and then I have a whole list of stuff to do after that. Is it necessary to follow a strict touring plan at MGM after you get the major attractions out of the way? It would be wonderful to take a break from commando touring for a day!
Thanks in advance!

TOT! My! 4-year-old wants to ride this time :cool1:

We grab Fastpasses for RnR and run over to TOT before the line gets long :)

Hi Mickeysaver Where is Commisary Lane and Al's Toy Barn I'm guessing CommisaryLane is somewhere near Backlot and I think Al's is over towards Lights Motor.. but a more definat4e answer would be appreciated!

It's easier to show you than to explain it. Check out this MAP of MGM over on Will Cad's website. Maggie

Now that our DD is a roller coaster junkie, we go straigt to RnR, either get in line if its not too long OR get a fastpass for it, sometimes BOTH!

We head straight to ToT and then to RRC. My mother and husband are both MGM junkies. What can I say? I guess my we're all MGM junkies.

After flying into Orlando and taking DME to CBR to check-in and finally making our way to MGM.......

Go to RnR & ToT, if wait 20 min or less ride, & get a FP for later
Do Animation Tour
Go see One Man's Dream
Go ride GMR
Go get a FP for RnR or ToT, consider riding again, if wait is short
Dinner at FlatBread on Sunset or at ABC on Commissary Lane
Ride RnR and/or ToT w/FP
Go see Sounds Dangerous
Go see Muppets 3D
Fantasmic at 8:0pm, if not too tired

Work in these Meet & Greets along the way!

Monsters, Inc. on Commissary Lane
At 2:30pm & From 3:30pm to 5:00pm

Toy Story Friends at Al's Toy Barn
At 2:35pm & From 3:35pm to 5:15pm

CARS: Go Cruisin' on Streets of America
At 4:00pm

The Incredibles at The Magic of Disney Animation
Until 5:00pm

Mickey Mouse on Mickey Avenue
Until 7:30pm

Do you have a schedule for all of the parks like this one? 36 hours and counting.

We always hit Tower of Terror and RNR...that way we don't have to worry about fighting major crowds in the middle of the day.

Send my uncle to FP RnRC and que up for TOT... Then reverse! November will probably be the Great Movie Ride since it's the first time with a 5 year old!

how funny we all do the same thing. :rotfl2:

I find the wait is much longer for TOT, so we FP RNR first do TOT,, if no wait do RNR and then do agan with our FP"s

After that is great movie ride for sure.. and my favorite Lil Mermaid

ToT first, and second, and third....I'm a bit obsessed. :goodvibes Then I "settle down" into RnR and the Great Movie Ride.

There is a wonderful guy named Steve Soares that has a website that is updated either late Saturday or early Sunday morning each week. It's my source for character availablity and scheduling. Maggie

We usually FP RnR and then wait in line at ToT. If the FP for RnR is early enough, we get a FP to ToT (who can ride only once?) before heading to RnR.
