What is first thing you do at magic kingdom

WE just stand, look, smell and drink in the thought that we're back, actually in Walt Disney World. Now, after 38 some visits, children grown, and us in our late 50's, alot of memories come back right from this spot. The smell of the pop corn wagon, clippy clop of the horse trolley, and the blare of the train steam whistle. Its amazing, after all these years and visits the park is still the same, holds all the wonders we discovered years ago and experienced with our children growing up and now stand, still in awe, ourselves, still in awe. Nothing can take its place or erase the memories, the magic goes on forever.

Its one feeling checking into our favorite resort as well as stepping into our room for the first day but nothing says we're back as passing the turnstiles at the MK, and emerging from the train tunnel into the beginning of Main Street. Off we go into the Eporium for a hint of souveniors and back to Main Street to get the smell of Casey's hot dog until we cross that bridge into Adventureland where we usually begin our day at the Magic Kingdom, pure heaven, nothing more needs be said.!

Pepe... Well said !!! :thumbsup2 The memories we all have from the Magic Kingdom are truly timeless. The MK can truly be appreciated by persons of all ages !

After I wipe the tears out of my eyes, head for POTC or HM. If I really want to be scared I go to Small World --- scariest ride in all of WDW! That stupid song stays with you for DAYS!!!!

when you first go under the train station and see Main Street USA. The first thing I do is wait for my wife to go to the bathroom. She always goes to the one on the left as you enter next to City Hall. Know the place? Then, we slowly make our way down Main Street, listening to the music, smelling the smells, and we always look for the Dapper Dans. The first thing we head for are 2 of the mountains: Splash and Big Thunder!

we go right to tomorrowland and ride buzz lightyear! to infinity and beyond!

I'm with you...BUZZ all the way!!! I grab a FP to Space first then hit Buzz...Can't wait to have it as my first ride of my trip...very much tradition for me ;)

If I have an early breakfast ADR its CP....to get energy for the day. On the way in I take photos of the shops, the castle etc...without a crowd of people in or around them, and then eat then its usually off to find Mickey for my morning hug and photo. I have to have a picture with Mickey everyday! I never pass up a chance to meet any characters.

If no ADR for breakfast its still straight back to toontown for Mickey!

I usually head for the Haunted Mansion, ride it at least twice, and then get in line for Peter Pan's Flight. (Just the kid in me, I guess.)

Enjoy.

Get our picture taken in front of the castle. We have tons of photos like this since we have been going for the last 16 years, few times per year. I like to see how we age gracefully!!

Picture in front of the castle then straight to PIRATES pirate: !!!

67 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :cool1: :yay: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :cool1:

What is the absolute first place you go or do when you enter the park? We always ride the train to the back of the park and work ourselves toward the front.

We walk down Main Street and then go left into Adventureland heading to Frontierland. We head to Splash and BTM and get fast passes for one and get in the stand by for the other. We have been lucky to be able to ride both with very little wait sometimes not even needing to use a fast pass for either ride.

On our early trips as a family we would head straight for the castle and Dumbo. Now that we've "matured" and we stay at Epcot DVC resorts for the most part, we head into Epcot and eat lunch at Mexico. It was great way to introduce my youngest (now 6 yr old DD) to the parks. We would get a table near the water and the older girls would take their younger sister into the "boats" and ride past us round and round until lunch arrived. Our youngest got accustomed to the dark rides in a mild fashion....then later in the day we would head over to MK to the "real" rides.

This trip starts with MVMCP......so we have to wait until day two to go to Mexico....but we'll be fine!

I enjoy the sight of Main Street and Cinderella's Castle, take our photo, then off to Adventureland for POTC :thumbsup2

We usually spend 2 days visiting MK, so don't have to rush through the park.
Can't wait to rinse and repeat...

I skip down Main Street Hand and Hand with my family! And then head striaght to Fantasy Land for my 3 babies!

I try to get 8AM ADR's at Cindy's or Crystal Palace....We enjoy Main Street before the park opens and the wait for the rope drop at the castle. The kids immediatly go and wake up Tink and then we head for Dumbo.

I do have to share a story. The first time I took my kids to MK, it was a little drizzly. We went in for our early ADRs at CP. I looked over to the right and there's Micky under the porch...I made a hard right with the stroller and DD sees Micky...she was 2 and a half at the time. She says...with all the wonder and hope of youth....look Mommy, Micky knew I was coming and he's waiting for me! She got about 10 minutes with just her, her brother and cousins with Micky. I turned to my husband and said "worth every penny every time" It was magic and we will never forget her first encounter in Disney.

We hop the train and go straight to BTMRR (ride twice) grab a fast pass, ride Spl Mt twice- then use our fast pass.

We stop for the girls to take a bathroom break then we take a picture infront of the castle. Afterwards we head to fantasy island for a viewing of Mickey's Philharmagic! :Pinkbounc

The first thing I do is take my time walking down Main Street USA, taking in the sights, then with a tear in my eye and a smile on my face, I see the most wonderful sight in the "world". Cinderella's Castle!! After taking numerous pictures, then it's off to see my 999 friends at the Haunted Mansion! :hmghost: :hmghost: :hmghost:
