Hi,
Before you try this, read our thread called "Would we recommend this?" I imagine it's a couple pages down. Luvinit posted it several days ago.
The fast is not for everybody. Atkins recommends it if you are completely stalled because of Metabolic resistance. I don't know if it is recommended for breaking a plateau. Stalled is defined as no weight loss in 4 weeks, and as someone else pointed out, no inches lost either. It is not a quick fix. It's also not a 2-3 day thing, it's 4 days followed by 7, then Induction again. So, it's not a short process.
The basic concept is to have 80-90% fat each day, and to lower the number of calories you are eating so that you force your body into burning the fat on you not just the fat you are comsuming. Spreading the calories out thru-out the day in tiny meals keeps reving up your metabolism.
I noticed that you are doing a modified version of Atkins. If you are eating a lot of carbs on Atkins you will go through extreme carb withdrawal. And that's nasty and miserable, and you will most likely not stick with the fast.
Don't jump into this without doing a thorough evaluation of what and how you're eating.
Good luck! If you have anyquestions feel free to pm Luvinit or me!
