What is "Family Style"?

Hi,

Just trying to get some last minute PS changes done before our Oct trip, and I keep reading reviews that say the meal is all you can eat (which my husband loves) and that it is served family style. So, what is that?

Family Style is all you care to eat but it is brought to you by the servers in a large dish or several larger containers right to the table. Rather than a buffet line where you help yourself to foods, this can be easier when you have children. At Garden Grill the food is brought out in a giant skillet, same at Whispering Canyon. At O'hana it is on a lazy susan type server.

Okay, thanks! We have had it this way before. I just guess I never payed attention to what it was called.
