I was wondering what everyone was doing for New Year? Last year we went to the street party in Edinburgh.

This year we are off to Centre Parcs with 13 of us.

Has anyone done Centre Parcs for New Year before?

Susan

This year we shall be mostly......feeding new baby, attempting to stop new baby crying and trying to sleep whilst new baby is not participating in either of the previous 2 activities :teeth:

I hope you have fun in Center Parcs, I am sure with 13 of you going you will have a great time :)

I will be 9 months pregnant, so will still be stuck on the sofa!!! probably not moved since christmas!!! ;)

We are going to a local Country House Hotel with friends. We've been several years now and sometimes stay overnight, but as the rooms were soooo cold last year, this year we're going home to our own warm bed!

hi
getting ready to go to orlando at 7am on the 3rd. can't wait! :cool1:

We (myself, DH, DD23 plus boyfriend, DS20 and DS12) are going to Disneyland on December 27th so we can spend New Year's Eve there. We are staying at The Grand Californian and to say we are really excited would be something of an understatement... :cheer2: :bounce: :Pinkbounc

For the first time in many years we are going to have a Party! DH has conceded that it might be fun to get together with some friends who have kids and play some games, drink, dance, chat and generally enjoy ourselves.

Centre Parcs sounds great - we may go to one in France next year. Never been yet but they look relaxing. Anywhere you can celebrate with friends is a good start to a New Year isn't it. I love a party - and most people get into the spirit of things at New Year.

I wish I was going to Orlando as a post Xmas treat, but we are booked up for a three night visit to DLP in January so I can't complain. I might just have to sneak away from my guests on New Year's Eve though to wish everyone on these boards Happy New Year!

Regards
Rosie

We get back from WDW on the 30th, so I thing we will be struggling with jet lag and post-trip depression :)

We never do anything for New Years Eve usually anyway, apart from watching Jules Holland :)

I think we have the in-laws coming round on New Years Day for a delayed Christmas Dinner. I thought I had gotten away with them not coming round this year with us being in WDW over Christmas :(

We are going to Vienna for New Year. Flying out on the 27th until 2nd. We don't usually bother celebrating but this year we thought we would do something nice.

I will be working :( like every other new year

have to make money somehow to pay for our holidays

I must be the only Scot who could quite happily see New Year celebrations stopped.
Love Christmas but with children who are better with set routines then it will be no later to bed than normal and up at 7am the next day.

Duplicate - see below!

I remember DD's first New Years Eve - the fireworks woke us both up we leant over had a kiss said "Happy New Year" and went straight back to sleep hoping the fireworks wouldn't wake her up (they didn't!)

I guess we'll be doing much the same as you this year :teeth:

having a new baby must be the best way to celebrate new year :)

we never bother to go out so we just veg on the sofa with nibbles and a huge amount of baileys !!

We are friends of a band called Ballroom Glitz they do all the 70's glam rock stuff. We are going to see them at Walsall football club.

At midnight here we will be sitting in Hollywood Brown Derby in MGM having dinner!! Then at midnight we will be sitting on the beach in front of the Beach Club with a glass of champagne watching the fireworks from Epcot, MGM and the Boardwalk!

Me and dh will probably go to a local nightclub for new years, that just doesnt sound the same as being in WDW!

We will be in the MK. Oh the crowds I must be mad!!! For lunch we have ADR's at the Plaza Pavilion, and for dinner we are at CP. I'm sure that it will be heaving.

We'll be somewhere over the Atlantic as we fly home on New Years Eve and land at 4.30am on New years Day :sad1:
