What is Dole Whip?

So everyone raves about this mystery Dole Whip? I know where to get it but what actually is it? Is it frozen? I feel like I am missing out on something here...

It's almost like a soft serve icecream that has a pineapple taste to it...you haven't lived until you've tried a Dole Whip

I used to work for an icecream place and they had dole whip...dole whip is just non-dairy ice cream, can be done in any flavor.

Not really, sherbet has milk in it. Dole Whip doesn't, it's nondairy.

Pineapple soft serve. It can be ordered straight, or twisted with vanilla. True Dole Whip is straight and is still served at Disneyland that way. It also makes a great float made with pineapple juice instead of soda.

Can you get soft-serve ice cream in any other flavours? My friend doesn't like pinapple in any shape or form Chocolate, perhaps? I'm not an ice-cream fan myself but even I could go for the odd chocolate soft-serve in the Florida sun. (Yes, I dislike Mickey bars )

I'm afriad that a float is my idea of a nightmare because I don't really like mixing solid food with liquid food (so I hate cereal with milk, chunky soup etc.) I'm odd, I know.

one of my best memories of my last vacation was sitting on the benches near potc with my older brother and my son we all were enjoying dole whips, they never had them but i knew how good they were so i just went up and bought them and we all enjoyed the moment.

It's a soft serve frozen treat in a cup that's a mixture of vanilla ice cream and strawberry sorbet and boy, is it yummy. I noticed it was closed at times in August. I think it was more a staffing issue. Keep trying!!

I agree! Dole Whips are good but the strawberry swirl is even better IMO!!
