We are travelling from Australia and staying in Anaheim for 14 days this March. What is the weather like and when is it best to go to DL?
We have a 5 day Disney/California park pass so we are flexible on days. We are also heading to San Diego zoo/sea world, Legoland, Knottsberry and Universal Studio's.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

I was hoping to read the responses you got, as we are going in March as well. But since you don't seem to have any responses, I'll respond with my very limited experience. We have only been in March once, in early March 2001, and it was mid-60's when we were there. A little drizzle a few short times, but mostly dry. Being from the Pacific Northwest (USA), I thought it was delightful:)

By march it is usually high 60s low 70s during the day and low 50's at night.

It is the tail end of our rainy season so can get a little rain, but overall weather is nice at that time of year!

Wow, your going all out going to all of those Destinations. You should check out the Southern California City Pass. It will save you a lot of money. This site has a link to it under their Disneyland tab, then click on the discounts tab, or just type in Southern California City Pass in your browser. It will get you 1 day at Sea World, 1 day at Universal Studios, and a 3 day park hopper pass at Disneyland/California Adventure. We have used this pass 3 times now and it works really great, I highly recommend it.

March is a great time to go to Disneyland. This is considered part of their off season time so the crowds are much smaller which in turn makes the lines much shorter. It is better of course to go on Monday through Friday as it can still get very busy with the season ticket holders on the weekends. Alot of refurbs start at the end of January to the begining of February switching out the christmas themes and due to it being their off season. Be sure to check to see what will be in refurb so your not dissapointed when you get there. It can be a little cooler, but its Southern California and as the day progresses it warms up quite nicely. If your there on a really cool day then just stay off the water rides and you will be just fine.

The new Cars Land area at California Adventure is where most of the crowd seems to head too right now.

Don't miss Fantasmic at Disneyland, and dont miss World of Color at California Adventure!!!! Also don't miss Soarin!!!!!

My family has gone in the last week of March for the past 2 years. We enjoyed it very much, and one can definitely get away w/ shorts and a sweater!

I'm sure you've read this everywhere, but it's true--get that fast pass for Radiators Spring Racers 1st thing in the morning before they sell out! The last thing you want to do is spend hours in line.

If your budget allows, you may consider doing a World of Color dining package. You get a reserved viewing area w/ the following benefits--it's not very crowded, so you can pretty much show up just before the show starts! We also really liked the premium viewing option for Fantasmic, but it is expensive. You have an excellent viewing area w/ chairs to sit on. You get a delightful dessert box that also has cheese and crackers. A disney staff person is on hand to provide you w/ your choice of non alcoholic beverages. Love the hot chocolate! Another plus is that you also have a great spot from which to watch the fireworks show.

March is a lovely time to come. The weather is mild. It can get up to the 80's in the day, but the average is probably in the 70's, but the nights will be cool. Always bring a sweater for evenings in CA. The crowds will depend on which week in March the week before and after Easter (the last week of March this year) is spring break for most if not all the S CA schools, and it's a LOT busier. During March someone, somewhere in the US is having spring break and will go to CA, but it's not nearly as bad as the weeks around Easter, but it's busier than non-holiday times in January and February. Earlier in March is better than later. It progressively gets busier as the month progresses.

We've been going the past 4 years for our anniversary in early March(3-5). It tends to be on the cool side & rain at least one of the 3 days during our stay but of course if varies. This year, since Easter falls on March 31st, it can be anticipated many schools & colleges will be on Spring Break mid-late March so your best bet will probably be earlier in the month. The crowds are less in the middle of the week but there isn't as much entertainment & you definitely need to see the fireworks, Fantasmic, & World of Color! What a wonderful trip you have planned, hope you have a wonderful holiday!
