What is DDE?

It's the Disney Dining Experience card. It gives you 20% off food and alcohol at Table service restaurants all throughout the Disney resort, including in the parks. It is available to Florida Residents and Annual Passholders only.

And there is an extra charge for the card - a buy in discount program. If you are at Disney enough to warrent an AP (or even close) and spend a lot of money in sit down restaurants (most of the DDE restaurants are sit down - a few counter service places in locations that don't have sit down restaurants) then its usually worthwhile.

Does each diner need a card to receive the discount?

Since cost hasn't been addressed, I take that ...

it is $75 fo FL residents
and $50 for AP holders

As an AP holder, I had to spend $250 to recoup my money. I did that quickly and then enjoyed very nice savings.

The card is good for 13 months after it is issued.. so wait til close to your trip to order it.

It is also good for free valet parking at the resorts. This is assuming you are dining at the resort.

Is this right?? So if I have the card and I go to the Dolphin for my Thanksgiving meal, I don't have to pay parking??

Or is it just the WDW Resorts, not the Swan/Dolphin?

We are also AP holders. I understand I get free parking for parks, but this doesn't cover the resorts, right?
