What is DDE?

I'm sure this has been explained before, but after doing a search can't quite find what I'm looking for so here we go....

What is DDE? Which do you think is better DDP or DDE?

DDE stands for Disney Dining Experience. It is a card that is available to Florida residents and annual passholders for an annual fee (IIRC, $65) that entitles the cardholder and their party (up to 10 people) a 20% discount off food and beverage (including alcohol) at most sit-down restaurants on Disney property. The discount does not apply for counter service restaurants or snack stands. I love my DDE card--it has saved me lots of $$!

The DDE card IS good at counter service in hotels....where there is
no sit down restaurant....ie.. value resorts food courts and POFQ food court.

DDE is also good at Animal Kingdom Counter Service places. And I'm pretty sure the price has dropped to $60.
