What does concierge mean? For Example, at the Poly - GV Concierge? And, does it mean the same thing at each resort?

Is this a trick question??:lmao:

It's a higher, and more expensive level of service where the price of the room you book includes a lounge with food offerings during the day (not intended to be your meals) and assistance with bookings, etc. by a special staff.
Mostly the concierge, also known as club, level at each resort is the same, but some will argue that this or that resort has a better concierge.

I thought the purpose of discussion boards was to ask questions? Glad I could give you your laugh for the day.

Well, I didn't really LAUGH, but thought it "funny" that someone who had 190 posts had not read about concierge on here! No offense...and yes, questions are welcome here.

It's entirely possible that someone with 190 posts wouldn't have come across a description of concierge services. Especially if they didn't happen to visit the Resorts board.

Gillenkl, ask all the questions you want. The folks here love to answer questions!

I have seem people with 100+ posts ask "funny" questions on this board. That is because most of their posts are on the community board.

Anyway, WDW is making it more confusing about the word concierge. The question you ask is about the higher level of service (or what is now called club level). And it is at the Deluxe resorts.

There is a concierge desk in the lobby of EVERY reesort. It can be used by ANYBODY staying at the resort. It can be used to get tickets, boarding passes for the return flight home, etc.

Ok, ok, uncle, uncle....
I was just trying to be funny, not trying to hurt the poster's feelings...I better be more careful from now on.
And, betterlatethannever, good point to mention the concierge desk in the lobby of every resort.

Of course, there's also the potential confusion given that what was formerly known as Guest Services in each resort is now also called Concierge (well, Lobby Concierge).

For the record the Concierge floors and buildings in the Deluxe Resorts are now referred to as Club Level floors and buildings.

When someone referrs to Concierge that is the desk you will find in the lobby of each Walt Disney World Resort Hotel.

I think there are probably a lot of people who have the misconception that staying at the concierge or club level just means you have access to a few nibbles and drinks during the day. They aren't aware that there are a lot of services that can be performed by the staff at the club level to make your trip run more smoothly and to help make special things happen if you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, etc. They don't know about the tours that are available just for concierge guests, or how they can assist with ADR's. It can seem like a lot of money for just a few nibbles if you don't know what else is included.
