What is concierge like at DL hotel?

Depending on whom you speak to, you get a different answer... Has anyone actually been there and can tell us about the food offerings and services provided? Thanks!

stayed there about a year and half ago and wasn't impressed for the extra cost - bkfst was bagels, cereal toast and danish

there were beverages in a refrig throughout the day - the wine reception was nice but VERY inconvenient for parades seems the times conflicted which meant with kids we went to the parades and missed the wine

wouldn't do it again

Opposite opinion. Loved it. Just loved it. Done it twice at Paradise Pier. Next year hope to do it at Grand Californian. Why we didn't do it the last time we were at DL. The Grand Caiifornian was booked solid, there was not a room to be had at the hotel.

Why we love it.

(1) Check in with the concierge, instead of the front desk.

(2) Breakfast in the morning. If one wanted a quick breakfast and did not want to order from room service the night before, it was fine.

(3) Wine in the evening.

(4) Juices from the refrigerator in the concierge lounge anytime the lounge was open. The only downside was that you were restricted to two juices at a time to take back to your room. And those little juice cans don"t go far.

We do the same when we visit WDW. Except the first time we visited. I mean stay at the concierge level at the resorts.

We have done concierge at both DL and GC. Loved both - always stocked up on drinks - just put a bunch in backpack. Main complaint at DL is that room is about half the size of GC - and it can get very crowded.

I used the concierge staff to book dinner reservations - they were always accommodating and saved me some time.
