You won't believe this, but I am going to Club 33 and I don't know why it is so special. Please help me out if you can.

Hi, AKACruela:

Funny you should ask..we just had lunch for my dad's 65th birthday at Club 33 on Saturday. Club 33 is a private, members-(and their guests) only restaurant which is the only location within Disneyland park that serves alcoholic beverages. The food is exceptional as are the service, location, and decor. Your reservation entitles you to complimentary admission to the park. One of the most fun things about going is watching the other gusts faces as you are admitted through the door with "33" on it. I hope you have a lovely time!

Thanks Susan. FedEx is making my reservations on Monday. Should I try for lunch, dinner, or brunch? Do you know if the menu is the same?
Karen (akacruela to my children)

Hi, Karen--lunch/brunch is a fabulous buffet. On Saturday there were crab claws, shrimp, lox, cheeses, salads, beef round, halibut, chicken, wonderful pork, a pasta bar, hot side dishes, and a dessert table. At dinner you order from a menu; I haven't had dinner there for a few years so I'm not sure what's on the menu. The buffet is beautifully presented and has something for everyone, BUT if you book for the right time in the evening I understand you can see Fantasmic from the balcony of the restaurant. Whatever you decide, it will be a unique experience.

We went there last month - definetly go for the lunch buffet! It was amazing - the food was outstanding as was the service and of course the atmosphere. I checked out the dinner menu, but it didn't impress me that much, mainly because I am allergic to most seafood and it was pretty much all seafood. Our reservation was at 11 and we didn't leave until almost 1:30! Make SURE you don't eat ANY breakfast that day! You will need all the room in your stomach ;)

Have a fantastic time!

The other ;) Susan from California

Thank you to both, Susan and Susan. Do you by any chance recall how much the buffet was? I think I will try for lunch. We love buffets. Is the buffet the same each day?

Lunch buffet for two was over $100 last year.

Hi Karen - lunch buffet prices for adults are $43, we didn't have any kids with us so I'm not sure as to the prices for kids. We had 5 adults, the guys had beer and the girls had the non alcoholic punch and the bill was $270 before tip.

I would imagine that the buffet changes slightly. For instance, when we were there they had avacados stuffed with tuna salad. Maybe they would have them stuffed with chicken salad instead on occassion. I would bet they would have the same number of hot dishes, salads, etc. They may change it each day, each week or never - I wouldn't worry about it because you will love it no matter what they have! Their selection is so big there there is something (actually many things) for everyone!

One thing I especially liked was the pasta bar. They had plain pasta, cheese filled tortellini and mickey shaped pasta. They had you pick either marinara or alfredo sauce then you could add garlic, pesto, sun dried tomatoes, etc. YUM YUM!

I also loved the bread display. It was just a ton of different breads and breadsticks beautifully displayed in a giant urn-like container.

Also, I got the non alcoholic fruit punch which I expected to be just from the fountain or something. Nope! It was made with fresh juices, grenadine, etc. It was delicious too! Also came with a club 33 swizzle stick which I promptly deposited in my purse ;)

Of course, the deserts were OUTSTANDING. They had the best coconut macaroons I have ever eaten. They also have warm Belguim chocolate that you can spoon onto your plate. You can dip the fruit or marshmallows in it. It is really yummy with a slight hazelnut flavor.

I could go on and on..

I hope you have a wonderful time - if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask!

Susan

We were there 2 weeks ago for lunch and it was great, as the previous posters have attested to. It was $43 per person and it was such a treat just to be there. We didn't have any drinks but did puchase a few things to take home. They don't have a lot of souveniers, but I got a couple of pins, a 2001 bell and my DH got a golf shirt. We spent $140 on merchandise besides the food. My DH is a CM and it was the only place we have been in California or Florida that didn't offer CM discounts. It was, however, worth it for us as we never thought we would have a chance to go there.

Will be in DL at the GC hotel in July for 8 Days. Please inform me as to what type of membership is required to dine or lunch at Club 33? It sounds great and we are DC members, does this qualify?

Last I heard. . . Club 33 memberships are somewhere around $10,000 ($7,500 membership fee; $2,250 annual dues). There is also a waiting list to become a member!

I'm really curious. What do you get for the 10 grand beside the wonderful dining experience and park admission? As a member do you still pay for the meals?
Thanks
