What is Captain Marvel's Tour?

We received our Docs yesterday and there was no excursion listed for a Captain Marvel's Tour in Grand Cayman. What it is?

Also, what is the best way to go see the stingray's. Can you do this on your own or is it best to book an excursion. If an excursion which one do you suggest? Thanks, Kathy

The tour you're talking about is Captain Marvin's--it is a private excursion that you can book via the internet. There is no way to get to Stingray City on your own. You have a choice of doing a Disney Cruise Line excursion or you can book an excursion with one of the private companies.

We did the Captain Marvin's two-hour tour, which actually takes longer than that due to travel time. Just be sure to book it before you go. While we were waiting to leave, a number of people were turned away because they had not pre-booked, and the tours were full. We had a total of 18 and 2 guides on our boat. It was really fun and the guides were great--Christopher and Roy.

You might also have a look at Captain Bryan's Stingray City as he offers a fabulous trip as well.

He has a 50ft trimaran(catamaran with three sections instead of two) and they do a 2-1/ hr trip with snorkeling stops and of course, stingray city I loved the sailing part, really nice!

We really enjoyed our trip with them, the kids loved it. Roomy boat with lots of room to stretch out and even a bathroom on board...a nice plus when you have kids

We did Captain Marvins http://www.captainmarvins.com on our August cruise....it was the highlight of the whole week. We had a fantastic time. We also did the 2 hour tour which was fine. I did not want to do a 1/2 day tour because we wanted to go back and enjoy the ship.
