What is Bounce Back?

I have heard it so many times on this thread but I still don't know what it means? Can anyone explain, in details, please?

Those that are there with free dining right now are given the option to come back next year and be guaranteed free dining if they book their vacation (for next year) prior to checking out.

It's called bounce back, probably because you're bouncing back to Disney

So, my husband and three of his immediate family members are going in Oct. If he wanted to use this bounceback offer with his wife and kids for next year, could he or would it have to be the "original four"?

If they are still offering bounce back in October, then he could book a vacation and it would not have to be for the original four. Not sure if they'll still be offering it in October though.
