What is big thunder ranch?

Is that the same at Big Thunder Mountain RR?

It is supposed to be closed when we are there in Sept. That is my favorite ride at DL.

Big Thunder Ranch is a petting zoo on the back end of Frontierland that leads to Fantasyland.


If it is only Big Thunder Ranch, it has nothing to do with Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. No worries, the ride will be open

Big Thunder Ranch is where they have holiday celebrations. During Halloween it's Woody's Halloween Roundup where you can buy and decorate cookies, color, watch pumpkin carving demonstrations and pet animals.

During Christmas it becomes Santa's Reindeer Roundup where you can buy and decorate cookies, color, meet with Santa Claus and see real live reindeer.

It is also a nice place to have a bit of quiet, especially if you have younger kids.

We really enjoyed the Halloween decorations there last October.
