Ok we are trying to figure out where to go for SB. This is the 1st time we are doing a trip around the school calendars and not sure which is better...

I don't know what the crowd is like at WDW, but I can tell you that as far as locals, schools in Southern California almost always have spring break either the week before or the week after Easter, which will be April 8th next year. The week you listed isn't even a blockout week for the SoCal passes, and only a couple weekend days for the SoCal Select passes. The second week of March isn't really considered "spring break" around here.

Did my first ever Spring Break visit to DLR this year. It was the first week of Spring Breaks and it was nuts! We went for my friend's bday, not because it was Spring Break, but her bday just so happened to fall within the first week of it.
It probably was just as busy, if not a tad busier than during the highest Summer season days. I won't go into all the details unless you want to hear them. But just be prepared for lots of teenagers with no parents around. :scared1:

JH87,
Which week in March did you go?

We went to DL this year March 16-20 and will never go that week again due to the crowds. I was on the boards at that time and people were saying there were record summerlike crowds then. It was bumper to bumper people. It was both my DS and my birthday so it was still fun, but riding a ride without a Fast Pass took forever! I didn't look into WDW for those dates. Being at DL is always magical, but I just won't go mid march again. Check into the WDW boards. DL seems to attract so many more locals which may have made the crowds then so crazy.

Due to a change in schedules, we're going to have to move our regular end of May trip to March 17-24 and are hoping for the best. DH and I were there during the last week in July and had a blast. It was our first trip during what was supposed to be a crowded time (10 out of 10 on most days according to touringplans.com) and we thought the parks were very manageable as long as we got there early. Hoping our March vacation is just as enjoyable.

We went to DL this year March 12-19th. We have been to WDW the same week (our Spring Break is always the week of St. Patrick's Day) 5 times or so. Although DL was crowded we still did everything we wanted to do and never waited more than 30 minutes for a ride. I can not say the same for our times at WDW. We loved going back to the hotel mid to late afternoon for a swim and/or nap then closed the parks down at midnight. Spring Break is just a good time for us to go so I just deal with the crowds but in my opinion DL was less crowded.
