What is better, and why? FP for ROL or Dining Package..

I currently have a ROL Breakfast dining package for our August trip. However, I was able to score a fast pass for ROL that night, too.

Should I do the dining package (for a higher cost) or should I just do the pre-park opening breakfast and use the fastpass?

Not sure what affords a better view/less time standing in the August humidity waiting for the show.

It's a personal choice but I'm doing dinning package in July because I think a FP is better spent on an actual ride.

I am choosing the dinning package bcoz with that you get to watch the earlier show as compared to the FP which for me was only giving me the option for the late night show. I have kids so that's what guided my decision.

We are going in July and are doing the ROL dining package. We don't have park hoppers, so we will be spending all day at DAK (we will be having a hotel break somewhere in there, though!). Our FP's are for Flight of Passage, the Safari, and Kali. We are hoping to score a same day FP for Everest, which wouldn't be possible if we used a FP for ROL.

We had also planned on doing 1 character meal this trip, so we are doing a 10:45 Tusker House breakfast as our ROL package

I guess I didn't realize there were two shows - the FP I got was for the 9'something-ish show. Is that the early or late? And, is it the same one my dining will get me in to?

In june there is a 9 and a 10:30 show. I was only finding fast pass for the 10;30 show so opted to do the dinning package and yes it frees up a fast pass for me to use on something else
