What is best route to get from WDW to MCO?

We have never driven before so this will be a first for me. I will be going to pick my parents up from MCO. What is the best route to take( least turns, fastest etc.) from WDW. Which park is closest to airport? We will be driving that day so Tammy and kids dont have to leave early with me but it will save me a busride back to OKW.
Any help would be great!

The most direct route from OKW to MCO is a little convoluted at first. I know these roads like the back of my hand to drive them, but can't remember their correct names. I'm sure someone else will jump in to correct!

From the entrance at OKW, you'll want to take a L onto Community Drive. At the light, make a L onto Bonnet Creek Parkway (??). Drive through the first light, and at the second, you'll be at a T-intersection with Buena Vista Drive. Make a R onto Buena Vista Drive. You'll go under an overpass, then take a R, then another R until you are on the entrance ramp onto Epcot Drive. (Basically, follow the signs that direct you to I-4). Continue in the L lanes of this road as you pass the intersection with I-4. It then becomes rt. 536. If you continue straight on this road, it turns into/merges with 417. You'll be on this road for some time until you see signs for MCO. Take the exit for Boggy Creek Road. You'll take a L onto the road at the end of the ramp. As you get nearer to the airport, the signs will direct you to the terminals and their arrival areas.

It's even easier getting back to OKW!

MulanMom directions are correct...........

After you get on 536, just stay straight, it turns into 417. Go through 2 toll plazas, $1 each, get off at Bogey Creek Exit to the Airport.

Just avoid I-4 back to the airport.There are always traffic jams and possible accident's that will tie up traffic. We always use the 417 route to the airport and it has NEVER taken more than 25 minutes.

I agree. Take 417. Much better than the Bee Line or I-4.
