What is available on the DCL intranet ?

Hello, My husband and I will be taking a 12 Day Transatlantic cruise in May. I was reading that there is a free intranet available onboard and we can access the daily Navigators there. What else is available on the intranet? My husband has an Ipad, but I have a windows phone and laptop. Will I be able to see anything on the intranet? Thanks for any information.

Not really -- you're able to view the Disney Cruise web site, use your Navigator app (on the iPhone) and that's it, IIRC. You can't surf the web, check email, send messages, etc., not for free. There is Internet service for a cost -- they recently changed the pricing, you can read it here:

It's pretty slow at times, but if you're using it minimally, it's not bad.

Oddly enough, we would get random news alerts from our local TV station via the intranet while on board. We did NOT have any internet time and we were on airplane mode. It was weird, and I have heard of it happening to others.

This happened to us during our cruise in December. We were in airplane mode and were connected to the intranet to use the navigator app and would get weather.com snow alerts from back home.

you will also have access to dinning menus. its was great because you could see what each dining room was offering on that night. I like that I had an idea of what I would order before I got there.
it also listed the quick service places with their hours of operation.

Internet rates recently changed:
