What is (are) your Use Year(s)?

It should be equally distributed, in theory, but just out of curiosity, I figured I'd post a poll and see what kind of concentration we have here on the Board.

Note that if you have more than one, you can choose multiple months.

I also put in choices for whether or not you were happy with your current use-year. So any comments on Use-Year are of course welcome.

Our UY is February, but since we like to vacation in the fall and in January, this is somewhat inconvenient for us, but we make do just fine, and haven't lost any points yet.

My use year is October. I am assuming it will be good for me. My favorite time to go is the last week of Dec so Oct should be perfect. I haven't made my first DVC trip yet, so time will tell!

Our UY is August, we weren't given a choice when we purchased back in '92. Ausgust works fine for us, so we've kept with August UY for all our add-on's.

February. That's the month I bought DVC and I remember them asking me if that was good for us. I didn't know enough about it to have an opinion either way. We are interested in travelling to WDW in many different months and seasons, but for now, we will probably be there mostly in the summer. When looking for resales, I always look for February b/c I don't want to complicate things. Also, I was under the impression that DVC only allowed you to have one use year....or is that only true if you buy an add on directly through them?

Ours is March, and we're fine with it. We're lucky in that DH had enough Marriott points to get us a weekend in Marco Island in January. We do like to escape from Ohio in January and February, but not using DVC.

Yep, I guess September accounts for "other" then. Oh well. I must have missed those September resales listed since I skipped right from Aug to Oct in my notes. Ooops.

It does look like we're getting some concentration here tho, but that could just be bcs of my error. Oh well. And it looks like I am the only one who dislikes my UY. I mean, it does not diminish my enjoyment of DVC, but it does make it incovenient, esp for those January ressie I like to make.

So in my two polls in the past month I have managed to offend both Kansans and folks with Sept UYs. Ah well, I'm sure they're smart enough to figure it out and vote Other...

Ours is December. We haven't been members long enough to see if this works for us or not, though. So far so good!

I don't have my membership cards with me, but I'm pretty sure one of my contracts is a September UY. I can understand PumpkinBoy (given the carnage of Halloween!) boycotting October UYs, but why September?

Why are there fewer Mar April and Oct? The Oct doesn't surprise me.

Ours is October. When I've looked for resales in the past I noticed there aren't many Oct contracts available.

I suppose I am not experienced enough to understand why a use year would be difficult to use. We also go several times a year, so I don't have some difficult time to try to schedule a trip.
