What is/are your child(ren)'s name(s)?

Rodney Kenton (Rodney is DH's name)

Kevin Owen (Owen is DH's middle name & MIL's maiden name)

Leighton Renee (Renee is my middle name) - I know, Leighton is a boy's name, but I thought it was pretty for a girl, and luckily she loves it!

Kenton just got married to Tiffany Brooke and they've already picked out their baby names. They are : Rodney Jaden & Alexia Brooke, but don't tell them I told you!

DS 8 is Jack William. DH came home one night and said "I have the name. If it's a boy, we'll name him John and call him Jack." I said, "If we're going to call him Jack, let's just name him Jack." DH said "Are we allowed to do that?":rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: William is DH's middle name, his grandfather and uncle's first names. Dh also likes DS's name because it sounds good with "senator" or "doctor" in front of it! It's become a little popular, but usually the boys are "Jackson", not Jack.

DD 5 is Meredith Anita. Meredith because I made a list of all the girl names I liked and DH crossed them all off except the last one...Meredith. I love it because it's not trendy. It's old, but not old lady like. Anita is my beloved Grammy's middle name which she prefered to her first name, Gladys. People have tried to call her Merry, but I nixed that pretty quickly. Meredith has only met one other, and she is an adult. I was born in the early 70's and was one of 6 Kimberly's in my graduating class of 188. I hated that!

Good luck choosing!
Kim

Congrats!

I have an:

Abigail Judith - Abby b/c we loved the name, Judith is her Grandmother's name who passed.

I'm taking notes on some of these names for our next one :)

DD8 is Erin Elizabeth. We followed a Jewish traditional when thinking of names and since my father in law was the most recently departed and his name was Edward Edwin we were going with either Erin Elizabeth or Eric Edward. Oddly enough DD was due on what would have been his 75th birthday. So you don't think my family was left out of the loop Elizabeth was my favorite grandmothers middle name.

Wyatt John (my madien name & FIL's first name (also my grandfather's first name))

For any future, we've talked about Calvin Isaac (grandfather-in-law's name & great-great grandfather's name) & Marion Ruth (great grandfather-in-law's name, but I like it better for a girl.

I love baby name threads!! Congrats on your pregnancy!

My 3 little ones are:

Hallie Elizabeth - Hallie (rhymes with Sally...NOT Hayley) meant "unexpected gift" in one of the baby name books we read, and that definitely fit the bill. Elizabeth was DH's great grandmother who passed away while I was pregnant with Hallie. If she was a boy, Hallie would have been Samuel Robert.

Leo Scott - My Dad's name is Leon and we wanted to honor him so we went with Leo. Scott just because we thought it went well with Leo. If he would have been a girl, we had chosen Piper Noelle.

Lucy Skye - I've always liked the name Lucy and we were having the hardest time finding a middle name to go with it. On my way to a tennis match one day (I was coaching) one of my students put in a CD with Beatles songs on it and "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" came on. I love the Beatles but until that moment, I had not associated the name Lucy with them. After hearing the song, I knew her name should be Lucy Skye. Most people love her name...and I do too of course! If Lucy would have been a boy, she would have been Travis Gene.

I have two daughters...

Caitlin Nicole- Dh and I chose her name when we were dating at age 14/15! Back then it wasn't "popular" like it is now! I fits her well, though she likes her friends to call her Catie. Our boy name for her was "Kyle"...Caitlin has always said she wishes we had named her Kyle...she thinks that would have been too cool! :rotfl:

Brady Danielle- I really like unisex names for girls, she fits this one perfectly and now when I hear a boy named Brady I think it's a bit girly! :lmao: I love the flow of her name...though it does get annoying that everyone assumes she's a boy before meeting her. But, we asked for it! Her boy name was "Nathan Reid".

Congrats.... how fun....

Devon James
Jordon Douglas
Landon Perry

Joleen Diane
Teresa Jean
Jeffery Alan
Joshua Jay
Danielle Marie

I included my sisters kids too.

Good luck and congrats again

My girls are Cassidy Elizabeth and Lindsay Sara.

My sympathies to the Jennifer born in the 70s. I was a Patti born in the 60s so I feel your pain. Around here, the popular names seem to be Emma, Amber, and names like Kylie, Kyleigh, Kayleigh, Callie, Kelsie.

We have:

Kyle Stephen
Katherine Ava "Katie"
Joseph Gordon "Joey"

All middle names are family names. Joey was going to be Molly if he was a girl. Sometimes I want another girl just because I want a Molly!

Congratulations! Fun thread..

Alexandra Paige(also goes by, Lexi, Lexa, Alexa, and Alex depending on year/mood :lmao: )

Ryan Thomas

My nieces and nephews also have beautiful names::love:

Olivia Kaitlyn (Liv)
Anna Beth
Isabella Opal (Bella)
Andrew Dean
Juliana Eve (Julia)

My kids are:
DS3 Ryan Andrew (rye-rye is what daycare kids call him)
DD1 Emmalee Elizabeth (emmy)

My friends kids names... all named after past presidents
DS5 Jackson Lee (gets called Jack)
DD3 Madison Love (gets called Ma Ma...started from brother)
DD1 Taylor Love (Brother calls her Ta Ta and sister calls her tater tot!)

Thought you might like to also know what they really get called by!

Good Luck... and just remember at some point your child HAS to come out!!

Nicholas Wyatt - wanted Wyatt as a first name but was overruled
Annaliese Rose - would have been Kevin Vincent if a boy.

We absolutely loved the naming process for our kids- and I am constantly jotting things down for myself and my sister (who actually is pregnant- I am just saving mine for if we are blessed again!)

Our son is
Maxton Walker ( we loved Max and wanted a longer version, we have only ever heard of one other one!- Walker after a guy in our Lamaze class- we just both liked his name!)

Our daughter is
Laila MaKay ( Laila we pronounce like the Layla in the Eric Clapton song- and MaKay is a combo of our mom' names Mary Beth and Sandra Kay- my DH made it up!)

What a great idea! I love seeing all the different baby names, especially since we are just starting to try! My two faves right now are

Kaidyn Elizabeth, Kadee for short, Kaidyn because I think it is a unique name and Elizabeth is a family name, and for a boy

William Mitchell, William for my dad and Mitchell for my DH.

My nephews names are:

Holden Cecil, Holden from Catcher in the Rye, and Cecil for my grandfather and

Gregory Matthew, which I thought was a strange choice since it is my step-sister's son and my brothers name is Gregory. She said that it was the only name she and her husband could agree on, not that she named him after my brother.

My nieces are:

Elise Caroline, Elise from a song, and Caroline was my DSIL mothers name and

Jillian Emma, She was going to be Gillian but they changed G into a J at the hospital just before they went home. Emma is my step-moms middle name.

We also have an Alex, Tommy, Joe, Blaike, Connor, Aiden and a Miguel in the family.

I was surprised see all the Elise's, I thought it was more of an unusal name. I also think it is funny to see all the little girls named "Molly". When I was a little girl I hated my name because I could NEVER find anything with my name on it. Now all the Molly's I meet are five, lol.

Really, Molly is not my given name, it is a nickname. I was named Amalia Lillian after two of my Great-grandmothers. I love my name but it is a pain to have to correct everyone the first time they say it. For some reason everyone wants to put an E in it! It is prounced just like it looks, A Ma LI A. But what I get is A Me Li A. But I do love that it is unusal. I was born in the early 70's so I could have been Jeniffer, Heather or Michelle. My brother was almost Zachary but ended up Gregory. Oh yeah, I also have a sister named Ariel, yup after the mermaid, lol. My mom let me, my brother and my sister, Melissa pick out her name since she already got to name three babies.

Good Luck with all your different choices!
