I am new to these boards and I am having a hard time catching on to the DIS lingo, what is ADR?

Feel free to fill me in on other DIS or Disney Lingo I am missing out on as well.

Thanks
Sean

Some time ago, Disney changed the term Priority Seating (PS) to Advanced Dining Reservation (ADR), now Disney just uses the term Reservations or Dining Reservations, but the ADR abbreviation is still commonly used here on the DIS.

We were all new once! ;) ADR stands for Advanced Dining Reservation which is a bit misleading since it really isn't a reservation. You show up at your ADR time, and then you are seated at the next available table matching your group size that opens up. There can be long waits at popular places as a result.

There are lots of acronyms, and someone will come along to fill you in with a link, I'm sure. :thumbsup2

P.S. See? I told you someone would have a link.

Go to the home page of Dis and look on the left side, it will say Discussions and Abbreviations...
ADR- Advanced Dining Reservations...
