Looking at the possibility of getting a week at DVC property through II. Was wondering what a "week" is considered? Firm Friday or Sat. or Sun. check in? Flexible check in days/dates?
Thanks!!!!

7 days. Okay, just kidding. You can start and stop your vacation on any day you choose. There are some time shares out there that tell you that a week is Sat to Fri or Sun to Sat...whatever. At DVC you can start your 'week' on any day you wish. I like to start my stay on a Sunday. I will usually either start my stay at a regular WDW resort, so as to not use those high weekend points, and then move over to DVC on Sunday morning, or end my trip that way, at a regular resort.

Most II deposits that I have seen are mostly Saturday check-ins. I have seen an occasional Friday or Sunday check-in, though. They are always a week long (7 nights), though. You would have your exchange fee. You also have a $95.00 resort services fee if you trade into the onsite WDW DVC resorts.

You need a fairly high quality week to exchange into DVC. There are some September check-ins for OKW right now. If you can't see them, then you may not have enough trade power. I can see them with my Marriott.

FYI, that translates to 7 NIGHTS. Disney does not specify check-in to be a specific day of the week.

Great explanation.

When I exchanged with II in Jan. 06 I was shocked when I checked into SSr and they told me I owed $95. The fee was to disney for using the advanced dining ressie's. I should have looked closer at the II confirmation letter. It was in there. When I exchanged in 05 for Disney's Vero Beach there was not an extra charge.

II usually has Sat-Sat dates but, sometimes you can catch a Fri to Fri or Sun to Sun.
