Hey there Floridagirl!
You're still gonna love the CBR or whatever you'd like to call it!
The watermice are the verrrrry tiny, verrrry cute little motorboats that are available for rental on the Seven Seas Lagoon and lots of other lakes all over Disney World.
They are verrrry tiny, did I mention that? A huge part of their desirability is how cute they look. And that most people see them for the first time on the Seven Seas Lagoon when going to the MK via bus or monorail or boat.
BUT: the watermice on the SSL have 9 horsepower motors. This causes them to have wonderful speed and give off roostertails of water as they speed across the surface. And makes them look like such a blast. Which they are!
HOWEVER: the watermice everywhere else (including the CBR) have only 3 horsepower motors. That is 66% less power. They simply putter around the little lakes.
AND: the cost is the same wherever you rent them!
SO: if your kids want you to rent them (or you want to!), get your money's worth and your fun's worth and rent 'em on the big Seven Seas Lagoon.
We saw them from the monorail. Then we saw them again at the CBR and we rented them. Even my DD5 said, 'I thought they went faster than this?" Then I did my research after the fact. Don't make my mistake. Some day I'll rent them on the SSL and "tear it up out there!"
By the way, did I mention they are tiny? I think a 12 year old would fit and have a blast by themselves. I'm 6'5" and my DD5 and I had a hard time fitting in the little things.
