What is a Tigger Tail?

What happened to Tigger tails? I heard they were changed and no longer tasted good?
Tigger Tails were changed in July. My pending blog writeup on DISUnplugged explains it all with photos. It is already written and they are going to publish it any day. The new Tigger Tails are delicious but not the same as the old ones. :wizard:

Interesting. Will look for your blog!

OK HydroGuy, one more question after reading your delicious blog (DD11 saw it and about licked the screen) -- are the "new Tigger Tails" still orange-flavored chocolate or did the flavor leave with the old orange chocolate?

I had a Cheshire Cat Tail on July 23 and it had the crunchy sprinkles, but I didn't get a chance at a Tigger Tail this time. It appears we were there right around the time of any change-over.

I had an old-style Tigger Tail last fall, but I did like the sprinkles on the Cheshire Cat version, so I will have to go back and try one of the new ones for comparison this December. All in the name of research, of course.;)

Thanks for the yummy blog,
PHXscuba

We fall into the category of not knowing what we are missing...so we will happily try the "new" Tigger Tails on our upcoming trip! :tigger::tigger:
Sorry Tigger!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

We had the "new" Tigger Tail last month and I can say that I am hooked! I don't even want to try one of the old versions (not to mention I'm not a fan of "flavored" chocolate)...I like the new version too much!

The new Tigger Tails have no orange chocolate. They have the marshmallows of course, then caramel and white chocolate. :cloud9:

DISUnplugged finally got this posted after a busy news week...

http://www.disunplugged.com/2010/10/02/a-tale-of-two-tails-tigger-tails-that-is/

Find out the real story about Tigger Tails... :)

From the article:
For me and my family the news is not bad at all. We never tried the old kind of Tigger Tail so I guess the Bay Area couple*would say we do not know what we are missing. We love the new orange sprinkle Tigger Tails and are happy they are here to stay. At least until someone somewhere finds some excessively unhealthy ingredients in the orange sprinkles…

 How can you say you are "happy they are here to stay" if you never tried the original?

hydro, nice job on the blog, look forward to many more from you.....popcorn::

I kept reading about these too and described them to my DH. When we were there last month he was determined to get one so we trekked over to Pooh Corner to get him one. He was so dissapointed in their size and refused to even try it. I am not a marshmallow fan so I passed too. I guess when we think "tail" we expect something a lot longer - say, 8-10 marshmallows long.
